Chapter 20: Concept of Changes (Yuta's POV)

Yuta and the other two NCT members were running around, packing their bags for an overnight stay in a studio. They were excited but also curious to see what the studio Nine iAs would look like. It is their first time going to a different studio but they have never seen or heard of this studio before. Suddenly there was a knock at the door and Yuta ran to answer, revealing Jisung behind the door. He smiled as the maknae asked, "ready to go hyung? Hyeon-U hyung mentioned we could stop by for snacks and drinks." The older man turns to see Jeno and WinWin holding theirs and Yuta's bag and he replies, "sure we are all ready. Let's go." The four NCT members walked out and to the van, where Hyeon-U, Moon, and Peace were waiting. Yuta put all the bags in the trunk, while Jeno and WinWin sat in the van. Jeno sat next to Jisung while WinWin and Yuta sat next to Moon. As Hyeon-U starts driving, Peace turns to the back and informs the others, "we are getting some snacks and a couple of other things. And we are taking a long route so that is why it is going to be a bit of a long drive." The others nod and Jeno asks, "so do you know how many people are going to be there? I think it is going to be a lot." Peace chuckled and revealed, "unfortunately, you're right. I am unsure of how many but I think it is over 20 or 30 people. Most if not, all are from the friend group Jisung is in. The rest is us or some of our friends' members. Many noonas, hyungs, and dongsaengs are close to him. He would tell us how he would make up some excuse for you guys just to hang out with them. On breaks, he would go to their place to work on songs, hang out, talk, or even eat at their place." WinWin's mouth drops in shock and Yuta's reaction is the same, he cannot believe his ears, Jisung has that many friends, which are noonas, hyungs, and dongsaengs. And he even made excuses to his own hyungs, just to go see him. He turns to see Jisung's reaction, only to see the maknae sleeping. Yuta smiles as he reaches over to ruffle his hair. The rest, even Hyeon-U hyung chuckle quietly at the adorable affection of Yuta to Jisung before Hyeon-U asks, "Jeno, Yuta, WinWin? How do you feel about seeing Studio Nine iAs for the first time." The three look at one another before Jeno answers, "we are curious, I did not know about this studio and I am curious if they are hidden studios. I heard rumors about it." Hyeon-U nods and reveals, "the rumors are quite true. Many of these studios are very secretive, some look like cafes and small stores." Yuta nods too amazed at the rumors and secrecy of the studios.

Then they arrived at the locations and headed inside quickly greeting those who had already arrived. As everyone chats the other groups joined in. Yuta is surprised by the number of people in the groups based on the handshake and hugs many have done. With Seventeen being the last group, it was like an award show, except it's not and there are a lot of handshakes, showings of notes, and showing each other's food.

The Japanese look over to see Jeno shocked as he watches the chaos and turns to see Jisung and a few others leaving quickly. Hyeon-U called for everyone to head over to the biggest room and they sat down at tables. While waiting for the group of men to head over from where they are, others begin talking about the concept of the BRP and what they plan on doing. Yuta talked with Kage and Moon about what concept they're doing. "And I think we are doing something, like a secret double life as a gangster," Moon explains to Yuta as the older nods. Hyeon-U joined and told the three NCT members, "there is already a plan for the group, royalty, that is the concept plan. I had discussed this with Jisung, don't inform any other NCT members until the days leading up to it." The three nods and then the others finally join in, Yuta notices Xion and Jongho walking together giggling like best friends who look like a couple. Then he turns towards Ateez and Oneus seeing the reactions like a bunch of jealous fangirls. Yuta grimaced and realized that was what he and the others felt when seeing Jisung with other people of the Glow Up Crew. The managers start announcing Darkside's debut concept and storyline. Jongho revealed that with the whole sasaeng situation, they plan to have many comebacks to help distract the fans. Though, why do I feel like Jongho is hiding something? Like there is an implied debut coming up, Yuta wonders but tuned back when Hyeon-U spoke with seriousness, "We are also going to need assistance in deciding the locations of the music videos."
