When Reese hears of a new Sadian Club, the kids are excited to check it out, but is there something fishy going on. Plus, an unexpected guest visits The Drell Institute.

Note: This is my second revision since first posting it. I added some new stuff so even if you read this before there is some added narrative and dialogue.

Down at the local mall six friends from the Drell Institute were relaxing after a hard week of studying and training. They were no ordinary teenagers. They were active Sadians and were born with special gifts, but they looked normal enough to blend in with inactives, those born without special powers. Even after their week of hard training they were still all pretty restless, but Reese, their unofficial leader, had an idea. Dennis McNally, captain of the basketball team was the first to inquire about it.

"Okay, tell us again, Reese," Denny demanded as he eat his last chicken finger. "Why did you want us to meet you here?"

They were all sitting in the food court at the mall looking like a typical group of teenagers hanging out on the weekend. There was Cree, Reese's strawberry-haired girlfriend. She was tall and skinny and in Reese's opinion had the best legs of any girl he ever met. Then there was their best friends, one of which as Millie Cooper. She had short dark hair and always dressed in the latest fashion. She was flashy in her style and wore a bountiful amount of makeup and nail polish. She had in her long black vinyl boots and red mini skirt and crossed her legs under the table. Next to her was her boyfriend Jordon. He was the bookish type with his glasses that were constantly slipping off. He had short brown hair and wore a blue plaid shirt under the sweater vest.

Jenny sat beside Denny. They had just started dating two months ago and were always making eyes at each other. She was in disguise today seeing that they were out in public. It was due to a special bracelet that was made for her that made it possible. Normally her blue skin and reddish pink eyes frightened people into assuming she was some sort of demon, but the truth was she was anything but. Today she dawned the face of a normal looking human girl with shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes. It was the way she wished she had been born, but to her friends she was just as beautiful in her natural state. She sat quietly sipping her soda when Millie opened her mouth to speak.

"Yeah, Reese," Millie said and she took a huge sip of her frosty. Even in doing so she never got brain froze. "What's going on?" She sounded both curious and suspicious.

"Not trouble, I hope," Jordon said, pushing up his glasses that were about to fall off again.

"Why do you all assume there's going to be trouble?" Reese asked and took a bite of his hamburger. He sat back with his eyes beaming, which made everyone else roll their eyes.

"Reese, just spill it," Jenny finally said then took another sip of her drink. She crossed her feet under her chair as she leaned forward trying to get a straight answer out of her elusive friend. She was wearing shorts that day with a blue and red tank top with the pair of red lips on the front with the words: Kiss Me written on the back. "Stop being so mysterious," she added, teasing him.

"Okay," Reese said and shook his head smirking. He had left them in suspense long enough. "I found out about this new dance club, and the best part is we don't have to hide who we are." He pulled a flier out of his pocket and placed it in the middle of the table. "It opened last week, so what do you guys say we check it out?"

"A Sadian club?" Denny questioned. He was skeptical but he did like to party and this idea sounded great. "Cool."

"Sounds fishy to me," Jordon said and scanned the contents the flier contained. He couldn't understand why anyone would advertise a Sadian anything out in the open. "It sounds too good to be true, and when something sounded too good then it usually was."

"Everything?" Millie questioned, winking at him.

"Well, not everything," he said, looking over at Millie. His face was turning red which made Millie smirk.

"It sounds like fun to me," Cree said, smiling at Reese. "I'm in." She looked over at her friends one by one who didn't look like they were sharing the same enthusiasm. "Come on, guys. We need a break, one night of pure fun. What do you say?"

A smile came to Jenny's face and she was the first to speak up. "Okay, let's go for it."

"Great," Millie said, looking like she was about to jump out of her seat "I think this may be a night to remember."

Denny and Jordon groaned. "I guess we have no choice, egghead." He used the nickname he gave Jordon when they were kids, but Millie shot him a dirty look.

"Hey, you dumb jock," she fired at him. She rose from her seat and pointed a finger at him. "Lay off my boyfriend." A little spark came out of her finger, and Cree was horrified by the display.

"Millie!" Cree half shouted, trying not the draw too much attention their way. "Cut it out before someone sees you."

Jordon threw her a look of disapproval. "Don't listen to him," Jordon said, grabbing her free arm. She slowly sat back down.

"You got lucky, buster," Millie fumed.

Jenny just laughed. "Will you two ever get along?" Millie just crossed her arms and stuck her nose in the air, while Denny just refused to look at her.

"So it's settled," Reese said and held up the flier. "We're all going?"

They were all in agreement. They all left the mall that day excited about the next night's prospects. They arrived back at the Drell Institute within the hour and entered the main building. The place was mostly bare, being a weekend most of the students were home visiting their families, those that resided within the vicinity.

This is not really a new story I wrote it a while back It's about 13,000 words and completed. I 'll post more later, but you all need to comment and vote. I answer all responses. So I hope you enjoyed this and there's more to come.
