Chapter 090 Past Events

She kept knocking her head on the ground, and soon her head was covered in blood. Zhao Yi wanted to pull her away, but Xiao Shao pulled open her sleeves. Zi Su pulled too tightly, and a glittering object rolled out of his sleeves. 

It was a jade butterfly pendant with a magnolia flower. The butterfly was perched on the magnolia flower. The craftsmanship was lifelike, and it was also inlaid with a piece of fine emerald cat's eye stone. It was obviously a precious thing.

The thing happened to roll in front of Zi Su. Zi Su looked at it and was suddenly startled. She said, "Why do you have my girl's things?"

She was also suspicious. King Jinying and Jiang Ruan were not related, so why was the pendant on him? The jade butterfly pendant was Zhao Mei's favourite earring. She brought it from the general's mansion before she got married, and she has always loved it. The earrings were very delicate and the materials were rare. When Jiang Ruan grew up, Zhao Mei gave the pendant to Jiang Ruan. 

When Jiang Ruan first got the pendant, she wore it all the time. Later, when she went out, she found that there was only one pendant left. One earring could not be worn anymore, so she put it away. Later, because it was Zhao Mei's relic, Jiang Ruan locked the remaining one in a box and wiped it from time to time.

Now the earring in the box is still there, but the other one is on Xiao Shao. Why is this?

Zhao Yuanfeng and Zhao Yi, who were present, couldn't figure it out. In their eyes, Xiao Shao rushed down the cliff just for Jiang Ruan, but based on the character they knew about Xiao Shao, he was definitely not such a person who cherished women.
