The sunlight streamed through the tall windows of Jungkook’s bedroom, casting long shadows across the sleek, modern furnishings. Jungkook stirred awake, his body aching from the tension of the night before. His sharp CEO instincts kicked in immediately as he registered the subtle movements in the room.

“Good morning, darling,” Taehyung’s smooth, deep voice greeted him, pulling his attention to the man lounging in a chair by the bed.

Taehyung sat there with an easy confidence, dressed casually in a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up, his dark gaze fixed on Jungkook. He looked like he belonged there, like he had every right to watch Jungkook wake up in his own home.

“What the hell are you doing here?” Jungkook snapped, sitting up abruptly.

Taehyung chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. “Your manners are lacking, CEO Jeon. That’s no way to greet your husband.”

The reminder of their forced marriage made Jungkook’s stomach churn. He clenched his jaw, ignoring the smug look on Taehyung’s face. “Get out. I have a company to run.”

Taehyung tilted his head, his smirk widening. “Oh, I know. That’s exactly why I’m here.”

Jungkook narrowed his eyes. “What do you mean?”

Taehyung rose from the chair, sauntering toward the bed with deliberate slowness. He stopped just short of Jungkook, his imposing frame casting a shadow over him. “You’re getting ready, and we’re going to your company. Together.”

Jungkook blinked, incredulous. “Why would you come to my company? You don’t belong there.”

Taehyung leaned in, placing a hand on the edge of the bed, effectively caging Jungkook. His voice dropped, a dark, playful edge in his tone. “Oh, but I do. As of this morning, I’m officially an employee. Consider it a husband’s prerogative to keep an eye on his spouse.”

Jungkook’s stomach sank. “You’re insane.”

Taehyung straightened, adjusting his cuffs with casual elegance. “Insane? Maybe. But I’m also persistent. And let me remind you, darling...” He leaned in again, his lips brushing against Jungkook’s ear as he whispered, “You’re not going to tell anyone about our little arrangement. You wouldn’t want to risk what happens if you do.”

Jungkook swallowed hard, his fists clenching. “You’re threatening me?”

Taehyung pulled back, his expression a mixture of amusement and menace. “Threatening? No. Just ensuring we have... clarity.” He smirked, his gaze dropping briefly to Jungkook’s lips before meeting his eyes again. “Now, get ready. I want to see how the mighty CEO Jeon commands his empire. And don’t make me wait.”

With that, Taehyung turned on his heel and left the room, his confident strides echoing against the marble floors.

Jungkook sat there, his mind racing. His company was his sanctuary, his fortress. The idea of Taehyung invading that space, asserting himself in Jungkook’s domain, was unbearable. But what choice did he have?
