"Alexander Hamilton?"
I turned around. A bald tall man was facing me.
"Mr. Washington?"
"Yes that's me"
I nodded.
"Come along, let's get you home"

He led me to his car. A black land rover.
I was still feeling a bit sick after that airplane journey.
Note to self: Never fly

Along the car journey I began to think.

Why am I here? This is just going to end horribly... Everything in my life does!

Why did mum have to get ill?

Why did dad have to leave?

Why did that stupid hurricane have to kill my brother?

Why did my cousin have to kill himself?

Why did-

The car stopped.

It had parked in front of a large house.

"Alexander, welcome to your new home." Said Mr Washington.

I picked up my bag and walked inside. It looked bigger on the inside. I tried my best to keep a bothered expression on my face but it was hard when the place looked so beautiful.

There was a woman, sat on the sofa, knitting. "Alexander, lovely to meet you, I'm Martha Washington!" She announced proudly, "let me show you to your room, love."

My room was big. Bigger than the one I had in Nevis, that's for sure. I placed my bag on the bed and ran over to the desk. It was a white desk with drawers that were filled with paper, notebooks and pens. I couldn't believe it.
"Thank you." I said to Mrs Washington, looking up from the desk.

And here I am now, laying on my bed....

A fresh start Alex. You got this.
