Many pictures were in Montork's house. It showed Orko from his babyhood, his toddler years and even his school years. There were even various pictures of the family in the room where the memorial shelf was kept. Montork managed to gather more pictures of the family. Including of Orko's parents. He even managed to find pictures of Unzo as a child. Orko looked at the pictures of his father at times. "He looks a lot like me, but in purple," Orko would say.

"Yes you definitely have your father's looks," Montork said. "But with your mother's eyes," he would add. "You also have something of both of theirs that they both had, a big heart." he would finish with.

Orko was sleeping in bed at the moment. Almost invisible under the covers. Then the a magical alarm blared. Orko hit the top to the magi alarm clock and woke up. Orko sat up in bed. Then he threw off the covers. Then proceed to get ready for the day. Orko bathed, he brushed his teeth, he packed a few things. Camping gear, straw bowls, stuff to bath with, stuff wash his clothes, food and money. Then he got all dressed.

Then Orko came over to his music box. He opened it, inside were a couple of Trollans dancing to the music. His uncle paid for this custom music box. The dancing Trollan couple were made to look like his mom and dad exactly. The song it played was a gentle song that his parents loved to dance too and would sing together often. "Hi mom and dad," Orko said. "Today is the day I go on my sorcerer's quest, and I just wanted to see you and talk to you before I go," he said. "I can hardly believe I am now ready to prove myself a full sorcerer." he said. "I wonder which mage emblem I will earn." he said. "Will I earn the cosmic spiral like you had dad? Or the service hand like you had mom? Or the sage starburst like uncle Montork? The paw of nature? The prism gem? The balance scale? The majesty sun? The spirit arrow? The diamond pulse? The serenity crescent? The Warrior bolt? I doubt I will get the oracle ring though," Orko said. "But whatever one I get I know uncle Montork will be proud of me and I know both of you would be too," he said touching both hands the figures of his parent's figurines which were joined in dance. Orko felt sad about the parents he never knew but he was ready to go and make his uncle proud. He knew his parents were watching over him too as his guardian angels.

"Orko you up lad?" Montork asked at his door.

"I am so up," Orko said.

Montork came into the room. "It is a good thing you are up boy and I am surprised you are up this early," Montork said.

"I am 16 years old uncle Montork." Orko said. "Which means I am now ready to take my sorcerer's quest and prove myself a full wizard." he said.

"That's great Orko," Montork said. "Now come on you got to have your breakfast." he said.

Orko saw there was a big breakfast at his place. "All of that food is for me alone?" Orko asked. "Uncle Montork I doubt I could get it down," he said.

"Well do what I did when it was my day to go on my sorcerer's quest, eat as much as you can," Uncle Montork said. "You need all the strength you can muster for the first day, because after you get sent off you have make it all the way to the temple of power," he said. "It is going to be a long journey Orko, the sorcerer's quest can take up to two years to complete, this type of quest is a long hard journey." he said.

"I know," Orko said.

"I hope you remembered to pack all that you need," Montork said.

"I did, I packed camping gear, stuff for cleaning my clothes, bathing, straw bowls, food and money." Orko said. "All of it is safe and sound inside my hat." he said.

"Very good," Uncle Montork said. "Now I hope you are ready for it," he said.

"I am," Orko said. "I wish mom and dad were here though," he said. "I sure wish they were still around to see me off," he said.

"I know but they are watching over you as your guardian angels and may they rest in peace," Montork said. "So they will be watching over you during your quest." he said.

"Thanks uncle," Orko said. "I know my friends Snoob and Squonge already went on their sorcerer's quests a couple of weeks ago," he said. "Well they are a little bit older than me," he said. "I can't wait to see which mage emblem I get and which ones my two best friends will get." he said. "This is very exciting." he said.

"I bet it is," Montork said. "Now eat your breakfast before it gets cold," he said.

"Yes uncle Montork," Orko said and started to eat his breakfast.

Orko finished his breakfast. Then they got ready to go. Then Gark came up and licked Orko's face. "Aw looks like Gark wants to say good bye," Orko said petting Gark.

"I am not surprised he has known you since you were baby," Montork said. "Now come on Orko let's go," he said. Orko and his uncle headed out. "Are you nervous?" he asked Orko.

"I am excited," Orko said.

"Very good," Montork said. "Remember what I taught you, free hand is for strength, wand is for finesse. You can find things that don't require magic to solve it and that is okay if you don't use it to fix the problem if magic isn't required." he said. "Also stay away from the unnamed order. They like to interfere with ones on a sorcerer's quest. They sometimes kidnap young wizards and brainwash them in their ways." he said. "Or some wizards are foolish enough to fight them." he said.

"Okay," Orko said. "I want to avoid them anyway from all the bad things you and the other defenders told me about them." he said.

"Very good," Montork said.

They made to the council chamber and Orko was on the gem. "Orko nephew of Montork you are now of age and ready for you sorcerer's quest." council member Jacov said. "Wherever the gem will send you, you must find your way through Trolla, to the temple of power where you will be judged by the star tree," he said. "Are you ready to go?" he asked.

"I am ready," Orko said. "I will do my best and make you proud uncle Montork," he said and flashed away.

"I am proud," Montork said. "*sigh* Too bad Esso and his parents aren't here, this would've been a proud day for them too," he said. "I wonder how much he will have grown when I see him when he returns." he said with smile behind his scarf. "I bet it will be hard to recognize him," he said.

Orko saw the gem dropped him off. "I wonder where the gem dropped me off." Orko said. Then there was a big blast he dodged. "Whoa! What was that? Where did they send me?" he asked. Then he looked around. "They sent me to Colorfulcano valley? Just my luck," he said. "Oh well might as well get moving if I can get out of this place before sun down." he said. Then he started making his way out of Colorfulcano Valley.
