Where It Begins (Apocalypse Twice & Itzy ff)

"Mirai..." it been so long since anyone ever called her with her birth name. Since only a few people know about that name of hers, she can even count it with her fingers. Sera quickly pulled her hand away, and it felt like her hand was burning from her touch.

"Excuse me,Sana sunbae... I think you got the wrong person." Nari quickly pulled Sera to her back,shielding her from the woman in front of Sera. Though Sera's head was peeking about half of Nari's head since Sera was a bit taller than her.

"Mirai... You're Mirai, right? Ryūji Mirai?"

Sera POV

"No... I'm not her. Nari,let's go." You reached for the door handle, but before you could open the door,a sudden explosion could be heard from outside. All of you who were inside the room instinctively duck your heads down as the sound of the explosion shook the whole building for a bit. Sana, Momo, and Nayeon scream in surprise as they clung to whoever was near them.

What the fvck?

The whole city must have heard it,right? You stood up and made your way to the window to try and find the source of the explosion. As you looked outside the window, a huge oil truck was burning as it hit a medium-sized car,which caused the explosion earlier. People who were near the accident clearly took a blow as there were pools of blood smeared on the road. What surprise you the most was that the person who drove the truck crawled out of the shattered window, bloodied and injured, that's for sure. He crawled his way towards one of the people in the crowd and lunged at him,biting and ripping his throat. A painful scream rang through the air.

"What's going on, Rai-ssi?" Jihyo asked,clearly caught off guard and shaken.

You didn't answer as you watched the scene in horror as he ran around with blood gushing from his throat before he flopped down to the ground, like a fish got out of the water. In a second, his body is still as a log,earning gasps from the crowd as they panic. You feel like vomiting your breakfast at the sight, but curiousity forced you to watch the scene unfolding right there. You watched as the crowd started to surround the body. Some fished out their phone calling for help, and some still got the gut to film the scene while the other started gossiping.

The dead body suddenly jerks a couple of times before it sits up from the ground,tackling a guy to the ground who got too close to 'it', biting and ripping the guy's throat just like the other had done it to the 'rise up from the dead' body earlier. By the time the crowd realised what was happening,it was already too late for them as they became food to the maniacs.

"We have to run." A soft voice came from your side, almost making you swing your fist at her.

"Oh my god, Mina!" Gasps could be heard from the girls, including Nari. They were clearly shocked by your action.

"Mina-ssi..." You sighed in relief as you managed to stop in time. "Gomenne..." Mina shakes her head at your words with a smile. You can clearly see that she did flinch, but she got a good reflex.

"It was my fault startling you like that... But I think we must go,right now." You nodded at her words as you turned to look around the room,trying to find anything that could help you guys defending yourselves.

Painful screams draw your attention back to the streets, as disaster strikes again. The maniacs even jumped towards the moving cars, making it lose control as it hit some people and maniacs on its way. Some even chase after the zooming cars. The countless horror- thiller movies that you've watched before flash across your mind, but you quickly shake away the images. Now is not the time to panic.

You remind yourself over and over again as you snatch your bag, looking at the girls with determination. You can clearly see Jihyo, Tzuyu, and Jeongyeon can already grasp the serious situation while others look confused except Sana and Nayeon, who look pale and shaken , they look like they're on the verge of crying. Mina, on the other hand, must have already known about what's happening right now,since she played horror games before.
