I was furious when I got a call from the twins' preschool saying that the twins were still there. Tay had once again proven to be unreliable, both as a father and a husband. He was supposed to pick them up from school while I attended lectures at the university. The kids were supposed to get home by 4 PM, and I had lectures until 6 today—a schedule I don't normally have. So, I asked Tay to do me a favor by picking them up since he could leave work, get them, and go back, unlike me, who couldn't leave lectures.

I called Tay about six times and got no answer. I just knew something was wrong and immediately left school to go pick them up. I hadn't driven to school today because it was easier to beat traffic using public transportation, so I had to go home first to get my car.

Tell me why, as I passed the bar close to our house in the Uber I had ordered to take me home, I saw Tay singing loudly, drunk to the point of stupor, with everybody in the bar paying attention to him, laughing and singing along.

I couldn't believe my eyes. This must be a joke— a prank. Wasn't he supposed to be at work? Wasn't he supposed to pick the kids up? What the fuck is going on? I couldn't understand. It made no sense. Why would Tay do this? He really wants that divorce; he's pushing for it because I will not forgive him this time.

Overcome with anger, I stormed into the bar, ready to make a scene.

"What the hell, Tay?"

"Oh, look, everyone! It's my lovely husband," he said with a big smile on his face like nothing was wrong.

"Why are you here?" I said, trying but failing to keep my voice steady.

"My king, my everything, I love you, baby. Muah!" He blew a kiss at me.

Everyone around us was laughing and enjoying the spectacle, like it was a comedy show. I was so embarrassed that all I could do was drag him out to the taxi cab waiting for me outside the bar.
Once we got home, I managed to get him inside and threw him onto the chair. I was about to head to the kitchen to grab my car keys so I could quickly pick up the kids, but he grabbed my leg.

I needed him to sober up before having any sort of conversation because if I didn't, I might take advantage of his drunken state and beat the stupidity out of him.

"Let me go," I said, trying to free my leg.

"No, you're gonna leave me," he slurred.

"Tay, please. The kids are still in school. I need to leave."

"The kids," he muttered before finally letting go of my leg. He stumbled to his feet and grabbed my waist.

"Hey! What are you doing?" I asked, my frustration mounting.

He didn't reply. Instead, he spun me around and pushed me against the wall.

"What are you doing?" I repeated, my voice sharper this time.

"Let's make kids," he finally said, leaning in to kiss me.

We hadn't kissed in months, and I did miss his lips on mine. On a normal day, I might have given in, but today was not the day. The kids were still at school, and anger clouded my mind. There was no way I could get in the mood.

I pushed him off and walked to the kitchen to grab the keys. I made it halfway to the door when he appeared again, pinning me tightly against it in another attempt to kiss me. I fought back with difficulty; this time, his grip was stronger. He planted a kiss on my nape, sending shivers down my body.

"I want you," he groaned, his voice low as he continued to suck on my neck.

I tried pushing him off, but he only held me tighter and went deeper.
