- 'all units be advised. Escaped convicts from Fox River have been positively ID'd at 1131 Monterey Lane. - the voice came out of radio set. - We have dogs dispatched to the location. I want every road in or out of town blocked off. I don't care if it's on wheels, rails or hooves. I want it stopped and searched.'

Michael and I was walking, Sucre was taking his bike with him.
- I thought you said we would have a heard start - Fernando muttered.
- it was a gunshot, buddy. One of the neighbours must've heard. How fast can that thing go? - Michael asked, panting.
- i don't know - answered Sucre, - both of us it could probably, but ... - we heard sirens and turning our heads we saw police car.
- we're never gonna get out of here on the roads. We need to find another way, - Michael said, voice trembling. - We got to lose the bike.
- uh uh. No way - Sucre stated.
- the roads are seated. It's the only way we're gonna make it out of here - Michael explained.
- i can't bro. I promised Petey ...
- you're not getting that thing across the river - Michael stated, - and every minute we spend trying is a minute we don't have, okay? I'm sorry.
- we got to move boys - i finally managed to talk after a while. Sucre put the bike on it's side and we went to walk over the fallen tree to pass it and be on the other side.
- i've heard about these kind of places. They got leeches, you know.
- I'll take the leeches in here over the handcuffs back there.
- i don't know papi. Sort of depends on where the leech leeches, you know what i'm saying? - Fernando staggered and Michael said.
- stop kidding around - as he said those words, Sucre fell in the water. Michael went after him, to help him out.

- are you alright, buddy? - Michael asked.
- i can't .. i can't move! - he muttered, panting.
- fuck this all that's missing - i mumbled under my breath.
- you feel like you broke anything? - Michael asked.
- no, i don't think so - Sucre said.
- can you get it? - Michael asked, his voice full with hope.
- can you get it off of me? - Sucre asked.
- i'll try - Michael answered, moving and trying to push the tree. - This thing's not going anywhere. I'm gonna check your foot. I'm sorry buddy, - Michael says after checking, if he can move it - It's stuck.

- do you hear that? - Michael asked - I know that sound. There's a damn upriver. - Michael said smiling, - It's a signal. It means they're opening the locks. That means the water level's gonna rise, and when it does, the log will just float right off.
- yeah? - Sucre asked, losing hope.
- um Michael - i called him.
- yeah?
- listen - i said moving the radio set, for him to hear.
- '10-43. Canine units at the scene have multiple scents and are spreading out into the field. These guys can't have gotten far.'
- there were seven cons back at the house. They'll be tracking us in every direction. It'll take an hour just to make it over this far, and by that time, the water level will rise, we'll be ling gone.
- are you sure? - asked Sucre.

- just have a little faith Fernando - i said, - we're gonna go through this. Michael turned his head to my direction and grinned at me.
- this isn't how it's supposed to go. The whole reason i went along with the break was to have a life with Maricruz and my baby - Sucre started.
- and now what? - Scofield asked.
- get some two-bit job? Always be looking over my shoulder? What kind of life is that?
- you can come with us - Michael offered, - start over.
- the longer you stay here, the more chance there is you'll never make it to anywhere. You've got other people to think about - Sucre mused, referring to me.
- just rest a bit, will you? - Michael asked.

- 'two dogs are locked in. We've got two trails merging. They were definitely here. They've headed east towards Drucker Ranch. They've gone off-road. And additional units, we need to setup a one-mile perimeter and start closing in.'

- It's getting deeper - Fernando said.
- yeah hold on - Michael muttered.
- So how come this freaking thing ain't moving yet? - Sucre asked.
- let me check. You all right? - Michael asked Sucre, after checking his foot.
- look Michael, - Sucre started - i understand if you two have to keep going, you know.
- shut up Fernando! We're not leaving you - i said, looking over my shoulder.
- no, no, look. Just think about it - Sucre started.
- you know, if we leave you, you drown - Michael told him.
- no, i know, but just  ...
- the water level's getting higher, Sucre. - Michael reminded him.
- how many seconds can you hold your breath? - Michael asked, - 45? 60? That's how long you've got to live if i take off.
