On Friday after school, Aurora and I finished the project at my place. It wasn't difficult, and we were done with it quickly. After it we had time to just hang out.
Isabella had gone to the library after school to search something to my feelings from the books. I'd told her I had already done that, and she would just waste her time, but she had gone anyway.
I'd be going to Monaco tomorrow to see Antares. It's so long time -one month- since I've seen him. I've missed him so much. He can be annoying, but most of the time he's nice, so I can't wait for tomorrow and hear how he's doing. Can't be very well, as he lives with our so-called 'parents'. But at least there lives our friends in Monaco, so he can be with them.
We baked chocolate cookies with Aurora for fun, and they actually turned out really well, even as I say so myself. When Bella came home (with no positive news for my feeling), we gave her one cookie for taste, and she gave really positive feedback of them. Maybe I'd have to take a few for Antares. He would appreciate it, perhaps.
I went to our apartment building's little yard with Aurora. However, we went back inside quite rapidly, as outside was so burning.
We went back outside after a while, though, as we didn't know what to do inside. We walked around in the bright sunlight and eventually ended up in front of the cafe. So, of course we went in, we wouldn't just walk past.
We both ordered some sandwiches. For drink, I ordered ice tea (what a surprise!), and Aurora ordered espresso. We paid for the things, thanked the seller with smiles, and sat down in one table.
"Our life is really boring," Aurora stated, out of the blue.
"What d'you mean?" I asked, not really catching. Nevertheless, I have a little idea of what she may mean.
"You know... our days just repeat all the same things; every day is like the previous one," Aurora reasoned. "And.. er- magic," she murmured, so any eavesdropers wouldn't accidentally hear. "You know, we never use our powers. And that's just because... well, we don't have anything to use them to," she said, still in a small voice.
"But we have our personal powers," I reasoned.
We have magic powers that anyone who's born in a family where even someone has magic-blood can use, but the bloodline can hop over some generations, so usually there's people in the family that can't use magic.
Nevertheless, those powers are just curses, hexes, jinxes, and protection spells, so there's no use for them in everyday life.
However, everyone with magic in their blood gets their personal power, which may even be some use."At least some of them can be used in everyday life, I guess," I continued my reasoning.
"True," Aurora admitted, shrugging but smiling too.
"However, I have to say that it would be nice if there was some use for the powers in our lives, yes," I started. "But better this than- erm... a war?" I said, not sure anymore if it was a question or not. It wasn't meant to be one, though it's possible now it was.
"Yea, you're right. A war would really suck," Aurora agreed, nodding.
"Of course I'm right," I boasted. "Anyways, what'd you like to do now?" I inquired. We had almost drank and ate everything, so we should think about what we'd do next.
"Have you seen Aylin for a while?" Aurora asked, a small smile playing on her lips.
***********
We were standing in front of Aylin Fleet's apartment building's front door.
"We'll just hope she's home?" I asked, staring at the door. It's been too long since I have seen Aylin. We're some form of friends, after all.
Aurora nodded to my question, pressing the name 'Fleet'. In this building, you have to press the one's name outside the front door you want to visit, and they will or will not open the door for you from their apartment.
