Chapter 1~ Acceptance Letters

"Ahh!!!"I said jumping on Shawn's back.

He chuckled.

"What's got you so excited?" He said grasping onto my thighs so I wouldn't fall.

I dug through my back pocket until I felt the paper. I pulled it out excitingly and shoved it in his face, eager to see his expression.

I hopped off his back as he unfolded the thick envelope.

"Oh my god! You got in! You got in!"

He pulled me into a tight hug.

"I know! Just 2 more months until I'm out of this place and you go on tour! I said pulling away.

The bell rang as kids scurried through the halls to get to their class.

"I'll see you after class." He said with a smile.

I nodded and made my way to Home Ec. I walked through the door just as class started. I made my way to my desk towards the back of the giant class room and slid in.

"Okay class,". The teacher said making her get every ones attention; her heels clicked on the freshly polished floor as she walked to the front of the classroom. "Since school is coming to an end soon, I decided to do one last project before you go."

Every one groaned in frustration. She ignored the irrational students and continued.

"Since, you're reaching adult hood I thought it was perfect to bring up sexual interaction. Whistles from the boys filled the room. I rolled my eyes and turned my attention back to the teacher.

" I partnered you up with the opposite gender. Together you will take care of a fake baby to experience the consequences of sexual interaction. You will then write an essay on your experience for your final grade. Points will be taken off for mistreatment of the baby. You will have to discuss schedules for time with the baby.

The teacher walked to the bored and hung up a piece of paper. She then opened up a box next to her desk that i hadn't noticed before. Kids hurriedly slid out of there seats and ran up to the List on the board. I slowly got up and made my way in the same direction.

I scanned over the paper until I saw my name.

Cameron freaking Dallas.

"Hey, it kind of looks like you! Shawn said picking up the fake baby by its plastic leg.

"Are you kidding me! It looks like Voldemort! I said throwing a pillow at Shawn.

He chuckled.

"So who's the baby daddy?"

"Cameron." I said sternly

Shawn almost spit out his water.

"Dallas!"

"Yeah."

He bursted out laughing.

"Watch it Mendes." I warned.

He stopped laughing.

"Good luck with that."

I shook my head and got up from my bed.

"So, wanna stay over? I asked grabbing the baby from him.

"I would but Lauren wants me to come over."

"Ew." I said scrunching my nose.

" Hey, she's not that bad."

" That's your opinion, but I'm just stating the facts."

"Am I sensing jealousy." Shawn cooed.

"Whoa there Mendes, I am not, nor will I ever be, jealous of Lauren Parker.

"Okay...whatever you say."
Just then his phone rings.

"Hello?"He said holding the phone to his ear. "Hey baby."

I made a disgusted look. He threw a pillow at me and continued his conversation.

"Oh really?" He said with a smirk."

" I'll be there in a bit. Bye beautiful."

When he hung up I threw the pillow back at him. But he caught it.

"Nice try Em. Well I got to go. See you tomorrow at school." He said hugging me then in seconds he left.

I let out a sigh I didn't know I was holding as my phone buzzed. I unlocked it and swiftly checked the message.
