The scent of old books and brewing coffee still hung in the air. Wonyoung, now engrossed in a collection of poetry, chuckled softly to herself at a particularly witty line.  Jake, who had been quietly browsing nearby, looked up.

"Something amusing?" he asked, his voice a low murmur that barely disturbed the quiet ambiance.

Wonyoung looked up, a shy smile gracing her lips. "This poet has a remarkable way with words," she replied, holding up the book. "It's surprisingly relatable."

"Poetry, huh?" Jake said, approaching her.  He picked up a volume of Shakespeare's sonnets from the nearby shelf. "I've always appreciated the classics.  Though, I'm more of a prose person myself lately."

"Oh?" Wonyoung tilted her head, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "What have you been reading?"

"A historical fiction novel," Jake replied, a hint of a smile playing on his lips.  "It's quite captivating, but I'm finding it hard to put down."  He paused, then added, almost as an afterthought, "Though, I must admit, I'm slightly distracted."  He glanced at Wonyoung, his gaze lingering for a moment before he quickly looked away, a blush creeping onto his cheeks.

Wonyoung's heart fluttered.  "Distracted?" she echoed softly, a playful smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.

"Yes," Jake admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.  "By the captivating presence of a fellow book lover."

A comfortable silence settled between them again, punctuated only by the soft turning of pages and the distant hum of the coffee machine.  The unspoken connection between them was stronger now, fueled by shared words and shy glances.  The slow burn continued, simmering gently beneath the surface.

This snippet incorporates dialogue to reveal more about their personalities and deepen their connection.  What aspects of this scene do you particularly like?  What other elements could we add to further develop their slow-burn romance?  Perhaps a shared joke, a brief disagreement, or a more significant event that brings them closer together?
