DACHIS POV:
As the Karasuno team boards the bus, the atmosphere is a mix of exhaustion and elation from their hard-fought win. Daichi takes a seat by the window, gazing out at the fading view of the gym, still mulling over his conversation with Kaiya. It doesn't take long before Sugawara slides into the seat next to him, wearing his trademark friendly smile.
"You looked deep in thought back there. Something on your mind, Captain?" He nudged Daichi out of his thoughts.
"Huh? Oh, no, just... thinking about the game." He said while snapping out of his thoughts.
Sugawara grinned all knowingly. "Really? Because I could've sworn I saw you chatting with a certain someone after the match." As he said that Tanaka popped his head over the seat, intrigued by the conversation.
"Wait, Kaiya? Was she here?! Why didn't anyone tell me?!" He cried out and Dachi chuckled.
"Yes, she was here. She's still Jonsai's trainer, remember?" He said and Sugawara leaned back into the seat.
"Man, it's been forever since we've seen her. She's really stuck with that team, huh? I thought for sure she'd move on by now." Sugawara said and Tanaka sunk into the seat slightly.
"Yeah! She's way too good to stay with Jonsai! She could've trained us! Imagine how much we'd dominate with her on our side!" Tanaka whined and Dachis expression softened.
"I tried bringing that up, actually. Told her Karasuno could really use someone like her." He told them and Sugawaras eyebrows raised in surprise.
"Wow, you actually said that? What did she say?" Sugawara asked and Dachi lowered his head slightly.
"Exactly what you'd expect. She's loyal to Jonsai. Said she couldn't leave her team, not when they depend on her so much." Dachi said and looked out the window.
"Kaiya's like a volleyball mastermind, isn't she?!" Hinata yelled over the seat behind Daichi, almost giving him a heart attack.
"Huh? What makes you say that?" Daichi asked him.
"I saw her watching the match! She was scribbling in that notebook like crazy and whispering to her coach. It's like she knows what's gonna happen before it even does!" Hinata said eagerly and Daichi chuckled.
"That's just how she is. She's got an eye for the game." Sugawara explained to him and HInata had stars in his eyes.
"I bet she'd be amazing to train with. You know her, right, Captain?" Hinata asked and Daichi nodded.
"Yeah, I do. Kaiya's been around volleyball her whole life. But she wasn't always just a trainer." He explained and Hinata looked like he was going to jump out of his seat.
"She used to play. And not just play—she was unstoppable. I used to watch her games with Asahi when she played in middle school and her first year of highschool." He explained.
"Wait, really?! What was she like?" Hinata said with wide eyes.
"She was incredible. She had this way of reading the game—like she knew exactly what the other team was going to do before they even touched the ball. Her spikes were insane. Fast, powerful, and always on target. And her serves? They were like weapons." He said and Hinata's eyes were about to bulge out of his head.
"Why isn't she playing now? If she was that good, she could be on the court destroying everyone!" He asked and Daichi frowned slightly.
"She got injured. It was bad enough that she couldn't play for a long time. By the time she recovered, she decided to focus on training instead." He explained and Hinata frowned.
