"hey babe"
This blonde girl ran her fingers through his dark blonde hair and leaned on him. She looked at him and smirked. She looked familiar weirdly and scarily, but I couldn't get a name out of my head.
"Oh..hey Julie." She smirked at me as her tongue ran against the outside of her top teeth, and that's when I realized who this mystery girlfriend was."Victoria."
The words leave my mouth in confusion. She was my ex-best friend from high school, she betrayed me by starting rumors that me and her ex-boyfriend were hooking up behind her back, and like the manipulative person she is, everyone believed her, not me, this ruined my senior year reputation, people staring and whispering about me in school halls as if I'm not 5 feet away from them.
Let's not forget the fact her ex was a dick and went along with her rumors because it's impressive for a boy to get hookups but not a girl. Why did Theo have to date her out of the four billion girls on earth, I thought he was different... unlike other boys, he wasn't ever a frat boy and was never into girls like Vicky, I thought he hated drama and primadonnas.
Theo didn't want to make eye contact with me as if he was ashamed, which he should've been. I felt like the words had been taken out of my mouth and by the looks of it he could tell.
"Come on Teddy...Let's go say hey to some of my girls." She gives me an 'I will always win' look and she smirks and turns away with Theo."Wait!-" I stop them from leaving
"Theo... can I talk to you? Alone," I sigh and play with my fingers. He looks at Vicky as she gives me a bitchy face.
"Yeah sure Jules..." he said as his head nodded, he lightly pushed off victories hands as his blue eyes looked at me instead of Victoria's. He walks beside me, glancing at me now and then."so" I sigh "you and Vicky..."
I finally spoke out loud in a breath.
"Yeah."
"So your gonna date the girl who betrayed me, made my reputation a shithole, and hated my guts for no reason whatsoever?" I roll my eyes and start to get angry at him
"Oh come on Jules! You also have betrayed people your not innocent, you left and we didn't speak for 3 years, and out of nowhere you come back and you're telling me who to date?" he snaps back at me.
"I'm sorry I went to university and wanted a future, some of us didn't have daddies' money growing up! You didn't live through the shit Victoria put me through, all you heard were the stories, she probably lied to you too...she has dated so many guys like you, after she just forgets them." My eyes glass up, I step back and walk off
"Jules!" He calls out but fails to make me turn.
Theodore
I watched her turn away and walk off...
'great...I just lost the girl I've loved since freshman for the second time...' I mumbled the thought under my breath. I didn't wanna see her go but it was too late, I was a jerk for what I did, I should've supported her wanting to go to university and getting accepted, and dating Vicky... what did I get myself into... These three years I've been thinking of how to text her but I just never got to hit send on the message.I turn around and run my fingers through my hair as the cold breeze hits my face, I take a sip of my drink and sigh. Victoria comes walking at me.
"What did she want?" she rolled her eyes and put her words in a grossed-out way.
"Don't," I snap at her "don't ever talk badly about Juliette." I shake my head and leave her behind me, going after Julie.
"Where do you think you are going!" she called out groaning.
"Away from you," I reply without turning back to look back at her.I quicken my steps, trying to catch up to Jules. I just need to tell her—I never liked Victoria. It was all to make her jealous... to get back at her, sure, but mostly to make her like me again. My mind races, the alcohol making my thoughts spin faster than I can keep up. But as soon as I step outside, I see the taxi pulling away with her inside.
