THIRD PERSON'S POV
As the teenagers approach the door of the manor, Tyler carefully reached and twisted the knob of the door open.
The sweet aroma of baked goods and lavender immediately filled the kids' nostrils. Tyler and Hayden glanced at each other, knowing what's going to happen.
Enzo and Mayumi notices their older cousins' gaze and looked at each other, another visit with a load bullshit- ay sorry.
"So, uhm, welcome.. I guess?" Hayden says sheepishly, glancing at the other two girls.
"What? You got a problem, den den? " Gianna says sarcastically, leaned against Andrea who wore a smirk at the sheepish girl.
Hayden shakes her head before gently tugging and adjusting her clothes as if trying to look presentable, as did the other solar members.
Gianna furrows her eyebrows, noticing the motions before Hayden and Tyler enter the house as did Enzo and Mayumi with their heads down.
What's going on? Gianna thought to herself, tugging Andrea to enter after her.
The two other girls stopped by the door as the four cousins make their presence known.
"Hayden, Tyler, Enzo, Mayumi. Took you long enough. "
Gianna observed from the side with her best friend, as the other four stoof in front of their family with such manners the other two girls have never seen before.
"Mom, Dad. " Hayden bowed slightly in greeting, hands shaking in her pockets.
To which Tyler noticed and discreetly grabbed her by the wrist to warn her.
"Ano ba yan suot mo? Mukha kang adik sa kanto, why are your pants so baggy?"
"Ang bibig, Katrina. That's your child. " Marty, Hayden's father, says loudly with a glare at his wife.
"Sinasabi ko lang. " Hayden's mother dismissed with a last look of unbidden disappointment for her daughter.
"Pasensya po, tita, tito. May lakad po kami mamaya and-" Mayumi started before getting interrupted.
"Tyler Villanueva, who are the two girls behind you? "
The booming voice of their aunt Alex and mother of Tyler says loudly, having noticed Andrea and Gianna.
Tyler stiffened. "Uhm.. Just classmates from school, mom. "
Hayden raised an eyebrow at her, knowing full well about Tyler's feelings.
The older girl noticed but before she could kick the girl, Andrea spoke up.
"Hi po, mga tita at tito. I'm Hayden's.. girl- I mean, friend. And Gianna is Tyler's friend. " She coughed awkwardly.
Katrina raised an eye, looking at her daughter. "Hayden Kai Castillo, tigil-tigilan mo'ko sa mga nonsense mo."
The four cousins looked at each other. Red flag number one, noted.
"Wala pa po akong nagagawa, mama. " Hayden replies curtly, patience thin.
Every single time.
Just then, Aunt Stella cut in with her usual glass of champagne.
"Tyler, Hayden, Enzo at Mayumi. Kain muna kayo, sama nyo na ang mga kaibigan nyo." She says, glancing at Andrea and Gianna.
Enzo let out a sigh of relief, not being able to take the awkwardness anymore. "Mga ate, tara na po. "
