Chapter 6

Jake led me by the hand into the dark forest; even though the sun is shining brightly in the sky darkness descends as we make our way in.

I suddenly have this strange feeling in the pit of my stomach, I can’t explain it but it’s knowing at me telling me I should turn back, but Jake has me firmly by the hand. I look to Jake’s face to see him looking calmly ahead. I should feel safe, the way I always feel when I’m with Jake but I just feel this urge to run.

We walk in silence for the longest time, I’m about to ask Jake where we are  going again when he stops suddenly, I look around quickly to see where we are but all I can see are tree’s nothing else. Then I suddenly get the feeling we are being watched,

“Jake what’s going on?” I ask quietly,

“I thought it was time you met some of my pack” He smiles to me

As quick as the words are out of his mouth I hear movement, at first it’s only to the left but when I listen more carefully I can hear that we are being approached from all angles, Now I know Jake says it’s his pack but the sounds and smells I’m experiencing are all new to me.

I focus on the dark woods around me as suddenly six huge wolves appear from all sides,  They are all of a similar colour a light sandy brown colour but each with their unique markings,  they are not acting aggressive in any way and I feel myself begin to relax. Jake leads me forward until we are standing surrounded by these huge animals, Each one assesses me and then lowers themselves one by one onto their stomachs their heads bowed low all the while their eyes never leave me.

I’m completely gobsmacked, I look up to Jake who is looking at me, not the wolves like he assessing my reaction. “Eve they are showing you respect, you are their Luna, their leader” he smiles his whole demeanour exuding pride.

“I…I don’t know what to say Jake” I stutter, this is a lot to deal with.

“My love you don’t need to say anything, they will always behave this way when you are around and will give their lives to protect you, as will I” he says proudly.

Jake seems to be doing that internal conversation thing my aunt and uncle do, when he turns to me and says “Eve you might want to turn around while they change back they will be naked and I will not have my mate looking at other men” He says and I know he is serious.

“Ok”

I turn into Jakes chest bury my face and closing my eyes, I just hope that this is something to do with the questions I want answered because to be honest I’m getting a little pissed.

“Ok you can turn now” He says, and I do to come face to face with six beautiful men all dressed each of them look as though they could be supermodels but none of them hold a candle to Jake, but I’m beginning to see why girls throw themselves at them, they are stunning.

“Hi Eve I’m Seth I’m this dicks second in command, you don’t know how happy we all are that Jake found you, I don’t think any of us could stomach listening to him bang Gem…..” he never got the chance to finish because Jake had his hand around his throat and the poor boys feet were off the floor.

“What did I tell you this morning Seth, do you want me to rip your throat out” He snarled

“Dude put him down, he didn’t mean anything and besides I think our Luna should know, seeing as see will be at the same school as of Monday” Said a tall blonde who was built like a wrestler.

“Evan I suggest to shut the fuck up before I tell your Mother exactly what happened to her bed a few weeks ago” The look on Evans face told me he wanted no such thing.
