The Anouilh family arrived in Voltaire just a week before school started, and Vittoria couldn't have been more unhappy about it.

She hadn't even had the time to explore the little city, since she was pretty occupied trying to help her parents unpack the majority of their boxes from the moving.

This was all new for her, the moving, France, or at least Voltaire, since she had visited some of her relatives in Paris once or twice. But Voltaire was a very little city compared to Paris, and everyone knew everyone, so it was pretty terrifying for the girl learning of the decision of her parents to move there.

She had all her mother's side of the family in Italy, where she lived most of her life, and she knew lots of people and was friends of lots there, so when her parents communicated to her that they were going to move to Voltaire, saying that she was confused and shocked is not enough. She knew that her parents' decision was not an easy one for them too, and she also knew that they wouldn't have moved if it was not important for them, so even though she was pretty sad, she didn't even try to argue too much with them about it.

Her mother needed some change after her mother, Vittoria's grandmother, passed away three months before their moving, and so, with her husband, Vittoria's father, they decided to accept this music tour in France that they were offered and chose Voltaire because it was a pretty normal and calm town.

While Vittoria understood why they chose to move away from Italy, she couldn't help her heartache every time she thought about her life there and her fear of starting a new school, not only new for her but for all girls in general.

In fact, she knew that this was the first year that Voltaire High was opened for girls too, and this made her even more worried about this moving thing.

What was to be expected? Bullies? Immature boys? Both? She had no idea and honestly wanted to find out later than ever, but luck was not on her side, and today was her first day of school at Voltaire High.
