Stray Kids had just finished a grueling dance practice, their bodies aching but their spirits high after nailing a particularly tricky choreography. They lounged in the practice room, sweaty but satisfied, when JYP himself walked in.
"Everyone, gather around," he said, his tone commanding but with a hint of excitement.
The boys exchanged curious glances, immediately sitting up. It wasn't every day JYP came to them personally.
"I have something important to share with you," he continued. "You're getting a ninth member."
The room fell silent.
"What?" Lee Know asked, breaking the tension. "A ninth member? Now?"
"Yes. This is a decision we've been considering for a while. It's about adding a fresh dynamic to the group," JYP explained. "Meet Y/n."
The door opened, and in walked Y/n. She was stunning—her black curly hair cascaded over her shoulders, and her ocean-blue eyes sparkled even under the harsh fluorescent lights of the studio. She offered a polite smile and bowed.
"Hello, I'm Y/n. Please take care of me."
The room stayed silent, except for Hyunjin, who let out a disbelieving scoff.
"A girl?" he said, standing up. "This is supposed to be a boy group, not a boy group with one girl. She's probably a pick-me."
The atmosphere grew tense. Bang Chan shot Hyunjin a warning look.
"Hyunjin, that's enough," he said firmly.
But the damage was done. Y/n's smile faltered, and she fiddled with her hands nervously.
"I'm not here to cause trouble," Y/n said softly. "I just want to contribute to the group in any way I can."
Han leaned over to whisper to Changbin, "This is going to be interesting."
