The frosty air nipped at (Y/n)'s cheeks as she stood at the edge of Ein's property, where his cobblestone-and-oak house sat amid scattered patches of snow. The sky was a soft gray, snowflakes swirling lazily. She adjusted her brown cloak, the white fur trim shielding her neck from the chill, and knocked on the wooden door.
"Finally!" Ein's silver eyes sparkled as he swung the door open, his bangs—jet-black with a bright blue streak—falling neatly to the side. He stepped aside, gesturing for her to enter. "Come in before you freeze to death!"
The warmth of the fireplace hit her instantly, its glow casting shadows across the room. Pierce stood nearby, his tall and muscular frame leaning against the wall. His dark blue eyes brightened when he saw her, and he gave a broad grin.
"(Y/n)!" he called, brushing snowflakes off his light blue varsity jacket. His dark brown ponytail swayed slightly as he walked over. "What took you so long? Ein's been pacing like a crazy person."
Ein shot him a glare, clutching a gold block close to his chest. "I don't pace. And for your information, I was just polishing Goldie!"
(Y/n) suppressed a laugh. "Well, what's the big idea? Why am I here?"
Ein leaned in conspiratorially, his grin sharp. "We're going to prank Aphmau."
Pierce perked up. "And it's gonna be awesome!"
(Y/n) tilted her head, skeptical. "Pranking Aphmau? You realize she doesn't take that lightly, right?"
"That's the fun part!" Ein declared, spinning Goldie like a trophy. "But you're the key to this plan. Your trap knowledge? Genius-level. We need that to make this perfect."
(Y/n) crossed her arms. "Normally, I wouldn't join in on this sort of thing..." She glanced at their expectant faces, Ein's eager silver eyes and Pierce's hopeful grin. "...but I guess I'll help. Someone has to keep you two in check."
Ein's excitement was almost tangible, his grin stretching ear to ear. "Yes! I knew you'd come around!"

Aphmau's house loomed in the distance, its purple-and-white exterior glowing faintly against the snowy backdrop. The trio approached quietly, snow crunching under their boots.
"Alright," Ein whispered, his breath visible in the cold air. "Step one: pitfall traps near her front door. Pierce, start digging. (Y/n), set the redstone connections."
Pierce cracked his knuckles, his brawn evident as he easily cleared a patch of snow and began digging into the dirt. His black tank top seemed wildly inappropriate for the weather, but his jacket hung loosely over his shoulders, offering some protection.
(Y/n) worked swiftly, her fingers deftly connecting redstone lines and hiding pressure plates under snow. "This should trigger when she steps here," she explained softly, her calm demeanor contrasting the mischief in her actions.
Ein chuckled darkly, placing TNT in strategic locations. "And step two: boom! A little surprise if she tries to disarm our traps."
(Y/n) frowned. "This isn't about hurting her, is it?"
Ein waved her off. "Of course not! Just a little chaos."
The group moved inside, finding their way to Aphmau's chest room. (Y/n) hesitated as Ein and Pierce rifled through her treasures.
"Diamonds! Gold! Oh, she's been hoarding all the good stuff!" Ein exclaimed, pocketing a handful of golden ingots.
Pierce pulled out a stack of materials. "Hah! I'm taking this."
(Y/n) shook her head. "You two are impossible." Still, she couldn't help the small smile tugging at her lips as she followed them out.

The next morning, Aphmau stood outside her home, arms crossed, caramel eyes blazing. Her thick purple-and-white sweater didn't soften the fierce look she gave Ein and Pierce as they lounged nearby, feigning innocence.
"You two think you're clever, don't you?" she demanded.
Pierce scratched his head, his tall frame almost comically sheepish. "Uh... what do you mean?"
Aphmau smirked, and (Y/n)'s stomach dropped. That look meant trouble.
Within minutes, the tables turned. Ein's house became ground zero for Aphmau's counterattack. She rigged snowball dispensers to the walls, sending icy projectiles flying whenever Ein or Pierce got too close.
"Aphmau, what the heck?!" Ein yelped as a snowball smacked him in the face.
Pierce, covered in snow, groaned. "I hate snow..."
Meanwhile, (Y/n) found herself helping Aphmau secretly reinforce her traps, their shared laughter filling the air.
"I should be mad at you, too," Aphmau said softly, glancing at (Y/n). "But... I'm not. You're too good to be mixed up with them."
(Y/n) smiled, her voice equally quiet. "I'll fix whatever we broke. I promise."
Something flickered in Aphmau's caramel eyes—a warmth that made her heart race. But she quickly pushed it aside, brushing snow from her sweater.

That evening, the trio gathered in Ein's living room, the crackling fire casting a warm glow. (Y/n) sat between Ein and Pierce on the plush couch, her brown cloak folded neatly beside her.
"You've gotta admit," Pierce said, rubbing his arms. "Aphmau got us good."
Ein grumbled, staring into the flames. "We'll get her back. Bigger, better pranks!"
(Y/n) chuckled. "Maybe next time, you'll think twice before messing with her diamonds."
As the conversation lulled, Ein and Pierce both found themselves stealing glances at (Y/n). The firelight danced across her features, her soft smile captivating.
Pierce shifted closer, his voice quieter. "(Y/n)... you're really something, you know that?"
Ein scoffed, though his gaze softened. "Yeah, you are. Way better than we deserve."
(Y/n) blinked, caught off guard. "What's gotten into you two?"
"Nothing!" they said in unison, both turning red.
As the night wore on, the trio drifted into comfortable silence, the warmth of the fire and their friendship enough to melt even the coldest winter night.
