Charli enjoyed working as a waitress in that small restaurant. She had been there for almost four months now, and although her job wasn't glamorous or anything, she found it surprisingly fulfilling. She knew how to make customers feel comfortable and always went out of her way to ensure they were happy with their dining experience.
Her cheerful nature and charming personality made her an excellent waitress, which translated into generous tips at the end of each shift. The restaurant was located in a busy part of town where tourists often frequented, so she got to meet all kinds of interesting people every day. It was exciting for someone like Charli who loved being around new faces and hearing their stories.
A typical day at the restaurant started with her arriving early, just after opening hours. She would put on her uniform then head to the kitchen where she would help prepare everything needed for breakfast service.
Once all the necessary items were ready, she would start greeting customers as they came in and seat them wherever they wished. During their mealtime, she would take their orders and make sure everything was served promptly and efficiently. As soon as they finished eating, Charli would bring their bills and ask if there was anything else she could do for them.
Saturdays were a special day for Charli because it meant she got to work during the evening and night shifts, which she preferred more than her usual morning and afternoon duties. She loved seeing the restaurant transform from a quiet place filled with families and locals into an elegant, romantic atmosphere where couples came to enjoy their dinner in a more intimate setting.
The Saturday night shift started at around 6 pm and ended late after all customers had left. As expected, Saturday nights were always busy so Charli had little time to rest between serving tables. But she didn't mind it; in fact, she enjoyed the energy of the place and found it exciting to be a part of that dynamic environment.
While most of Charli's customers were respectful and friendly, there were always those few who made things uncomfortable for her due to their unwanted advances or inappropriate comments. It happened more often than she liked since her uniform consisted of a tight short skirt that accentuated her ass nicely - Sebastian's idea.
She had learned over time how to handle such situations professionally while still maintaining her dignity and making sure she never gave them any reason to escalate their behavior further. She would smile politely but firmly, not engaging with them beyond what was necessary for their service. In extreme cases where she felt unsafe, Charli had even called for help from other employees or security guards.
Among all the customers who frequented the restaurant, there was one particular man whom Charli looked forward to serving. His name was Mark, and he often came for breakfast after his morning workout at the nearby gym.
Mark was in his early thirties, tall with a muscular build that showed off from beneath his casual clothing. He had short dark hair and a charming smile that made Charli feel warm inside whenever she saw it. They would exchange friendly flirtatious banter during their interactions, but never anything too serious.
Mark always left generous tips at the end of each meal, and although Charli knew it wasn't necessarily because he had a crush on her (she hoped), she couldn't deny that having such an attractive man pay attention to her made her feel flattered nonetheless.
"Hey Mark! The usual?" Charli greeted him cheerfully as she approached his table one morning. He smiled back at her, his eyes sparkling with amusement.
"Well, well, look who's here to brighten my day," he teased her playfully.
She giggled and leaned on the table slightly. "Of course, I wouldn't want you to start your morning without your favourite waitress." She batted her eyelashes innocently at him.
"Oh, how modest of you!" He chuckled softly while checking the menu.
"How was your workout this morning?" she asked casually while getting her pad and pen ready for his order.
"Relaxing as always," he replied with a smirk, "But I think it might have been a little too intense for Miss Short Skirt over here." He winked at her, causing her cheeks to flush slightly.
"It's my uniform! Part of the job!" she retorted playfully before taking his order.
After taking Mark's order, Charli quickly went back to the kitchen to relay it to the chef and prepare his food. She continued serving other customers around their section while waiting for his breakfast. When everything was ready, she carried a tray with his dish and brought it over to him.
"Here you go, sir," she said in her usual friendly tone as she placed the plate on his table. "Enjoy your breakfast."
Mark thanked her and she turned around to attend to other customers nearby before returning to Mark's table when he was almost finished.
After finishing his meal, Charli returned to collect the empty plate and refill his water glass. "Anything else I can get for you today?" she asked with a smile.
"Just the bill please," Mark replied, his gaze lingering on her for just a moment longer than necessary.
"Of course," she nodded before heading back to the register. She quickly processed his payment and brought him the receipt along with the check. "There you go Mark, will you be coming again tomorrow?"
"I hope so," he said softly. "Hey Charli, what time you get off today?"
She blushed slightly but didn't look away from him as she replied, "My shift ends at 5pm. Why?"
"Just curious... maybe we can meet up for a coffee after your are done?" He asked in his most charming voice.
"Sure, that sounds great!" Charli answered with genuine excitement while trying not to show too much emotion on her face. She knew it wasn't wise to mix personal and professional life but who could resist such an opportunity?
"Great! I'll come back at 5pm then." He smiled before taking his bag and leaving the restaurant.
As Charli returned to her station to continue serving other customers, she noticed the knowing smirks from some of her coworkers who were aware of their friendly flirtations.
"Looks like your crush on Mr. Muscle here has finally paid off," teased one of them with a wink.
"Oh please, I don't have a crush on him!" she replied defensively but couldn't help smiling slightly at the thought.
"Yeah right, just like we didn't know you were into him since day one." Another waitress chimed in.
Charli rolled her eyes and laughed lightly before heading back to attend to another table. Despite their teasing, she found herself looking forward to meeting Mark later that evening for their coffee date.
As the clock struck 5 pm, Charli finally finished cleaning up her section and was preparing to leave when she saw Sebastian come through the front door. He looked unusually serious this time around.
"Hey Charli," he said with a stern voice. "Could you please come to my office for a moment?"
"Don't keep her too long, boss. She has a date." Teased one of the waitresses in a mocking tone as Charli walked towards Sebastian's office.
"Very funny," she replied with an amused smile but her stomach felt slightly uneasy at the thought of what he might want to discuss with her.
