Hwang Hyunjin Pov:

"Mr. Hwang, I am very impressed with your record. I'm glad someone recommended you here. The cases that you have worked on. It gives me hope that you can fix this one." Mr. Lee says to me. I give him a soft smile.  "Thank you, sir," I replied as he handed me my file, and I was placing the papers into my briefcase. "How soon can you start, immediately?" He asked. I looked at him with a furrowed brow as he leaned back on his chair, crossing his arms. I knew they were desperate for a therapist, but not this desperate. I shook my head, "Yeah, I can start immediately." I replied. He clasped his hands together with an excited expression as he started rubbing his hands together, "That's good, great to hear, actually."

Someone walks into Mr. Lee's office. His eyes widen when he sees me, and he smiles nervously. "This is my assistant and husband, Han Jisung. He will show you around to your office." He stated that Mr. Han had come up to shake my hand. "Hello, Mr. Han." I said as he shook my hand, "Please, the kids here call me Mr. Han to you, and the employee, I am simply Jisung or Han, whatever you prefer." He says nervously; I took a mental note of that as he let go of my hand, "I'll show you around; follow me." He turned around to walk out the door as I followed him.

It was bland through these asylum halls; nothing motivated these kids to get better. Walking through my office was much worse. My smile faded when I saw nothing but white walls. "This is your office; it's a bit bland for my taste. I believe the kids should be in a comfortable place, like outside, but my husband and the stubborn man he is,  simply doesn't agree." He explains with his hands on his hips while shaking his head; he takes a deep breath in and walks towards the desk, handing me a file. "This is the case that you are working with. Every therapist that works with her simply once refuses to work with her after. Her name is Emris Lee. She's a Paranoid Skhitzephrenic and has a case of Psychosis. Her hallucinations are vivid; they could happen right in front of you, and she wouldn't know. Just have patience with her; she's only 18, after all." He explained; once again, I nodded while looking through the notes from the former therapists who took on her case. I rubbed my finger over one word that stood out to me the most, 'CRAZY.'

"We aren't supposed to grow a connection with the patients that live here, but hearing their stories and talking to them one-on-one, it's hard not to. Especially her. She doesn't know why she is here. All she knows, sleeps, and breathes is a man that goes by Chan." I looked up at Han, I was confused of why she was here after hearing that, "So what? She has an unhealthy obsession with him?" I asked. He tilted his head and clicked his tongue, "Kinda, but not quite." He stated, "He isn't real. There is no trace of him, but yet she can describe his voice, his height, and his looks all in one go." He stated, "I'll give you time to settle in. I'll go get her." He says, walking out; he then stops, "Oh, and Mr. Hyunjin." I look up at him, "Welcome to the Psychiatric Ward of Seoul, Korea."  I smiled and nodded, "Thank you." He then hits the wall lightly before walking out with a welcoming smile.

I decided to decorate while Han went to fetch Emris. Han was right. The walls were a bit dim for my taste as well. I walked to my car, got out some decorations and some comfortable bean bag chairs, and started getting to work on my new office. Han said it would take him a good hour to prepare Emris for her session. She doesn't like therapy sessions because she's been told the same things over and over. I wouldn't blame her, either. I would go mad if someone kept telling me I was simply for how I felt or what I saw.

After decorating, I looked over her file once more, seeing what the other therapist said about her was hard to read:

'NEEDS FIXING'

It broke my heart already without meeting her, but I know that my mission is to help her, and that's exactly what I am going to do.

HELP HER.

Emris POV:

"For the last time, Mr. Han, I am not crazy." I implied. He laughed at that, "Yeah, but you ran off 3 therapists in the last week." He says in a joking tone as he cleans my cell. He is the only person that will actually enter my cell unarmed. He doesn't believe in tasing the people here as Gerald does. That is why Mr. Han is one of my favorites. He simply listens to what I have to say and simply wants to know more about everything. But the more I speak of Chan, the more scared I become to hear people deny who Chan is. That's why I only speak vividly about him to Mr. Han.

I sit on the bed and smile as I watch Mr. Han clean my cell. "Chan came today?" I stated he looked up at me with wide eyes, "Did he?" he asked, and I shook my head and replied, "He brought me carnations, and Gerald took them from me." I said sadly. Mr. Han put the broom in the corner of the room and smiled, "I'll get them back for you, only if you promise to go to your therapy session." He explains. I shook my head, "I don't need a therapy session. They all tell me the same thing." I say as I get off the bed and walk to the cell-like window; I can only see trees and nothing else. The bars block the only thing close to freedom that I have. Mr. Han walks up beside me, "Yeah, but look at it this way. You get to leave this bland, small, dark, smelly-" My eyes shoot him a glare, "HEY!" I cut him off as he started laughing, "Sorry, I was trying to lighten the mood. Have a positive outlook on this, and just maybe you'll get to see Chan."

HE'S LYING TO YOU! CHAN COMES AND GETS YOU FROM HERE. IF YOU LEAVE, HE'LL NEVER FIND YOU. AND HE WON'T VISIT.

I nodded, "That's right if I leave, Chan won't find me, and he won't visit because I am not in my regular spot."  I said, looking at Mr. Han; I walked away from the window and back to my creaky bed and sat on it. "Let's make a deal." He says as he turns around to face me. "You go to your therapy session, and I'll stay here and wait for him during your session, and if he comes, I will lead him to you. But you have to comply with the session, and you have to behave." He says, pointing the finger at me. I look at him and look away, biting my lip, actually considering this.

HE'S LYING. EVERYONE LIES BUT ME. DON'T TRUST ANYONE!

I look up and Mr. Han, "You promise? If he comes, you'll bring him to me?" I asked again to get reassurance, and he nodded. "I'll even shake on it." He says, showing me his hand. I shut my eyes thinking of the terms: 2 hours, and the odds are Chan will come and visit.

IF YOU ACCEPT YOU'RE STUPID. DON'T BELIEVE HIM. HE WILL NEVER BRING CHAN TO YOU.

"Can I trust you?" I asked.

NO! YOU CAN'T TRUST ANYONE!

"Yes, of course, you can, Emris." He replies.

HE'S LYING. HE'S LYING! HE'S LYING!

My ears started to ring as I brought my hands to my ears, applying pressure. "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" I yell, "GET OUT!" I exclaimed loudly.  The ringing stopped as I looked at Mr. Han, taking his hand. "Deal." He placed his other hand on my shoulder, "You are very strong, you know. You can do this." He said, giving me words of affirmation. I nodded, "Thank you."
