"I wish I could just buy a car already" I thought to myself as I was adventuring down the streets of Willow Creek, Montana on my way to school. It was a chilly Thursday morning and I had to walk to school because I don't have a car yet, and I couldn't ride the bus because I lived in walking distance of my school. I was the only kid in my grade without a car because my family was the poorest family in town.

When the other kids drove by in their luxurious cars they would always honk their horns and laugh at me as they drive past. At first, it bothered me when they did that but now I could care less. Their opinions of me had no impact on me because I always believed that one day karma would get them. It's been nearly a year now and karma still hasn't got them but I'm going to continue holding on to the hope that it will.

As I continue walking down the street I start thinking about different jobs I should apply for. I am always busy taking care of my sickly mother so I never have time to even look into jobs, but my mother is now starting to get well again so I now have time to work.

I was looking ahead so I didn't even notice the fact that I was about to step on a newspaper that was resting on the ground. As hear the crinkle of the newspaper beneath my feet it startled me. I jump back and look down to see what I had stepped on. The first thing I notice about this newspaper is the headline that states "Help Wanted: Elderly Man Seeks Housekeeper" I reached down in excitement as it feels like what just happened was fate. I read the paragraph below the headline that reads "Eugene Harrington, a retired gentleman living in the outskirts of Willow Creek, Montana, is looking for a reliable person to clean his home. The ideal candidate will be trustworthy and able to assist with general cleaning tasks. If interested, please contact Eugene at (555) 123-4567." After reading that I reach down to my back pocket of my jeans to call that number. I have never reached for my phone so quickly, it was almost as if my phone had just teleported into my hand.

"Hello, is this Eugene?" I say after someone picks up the phone. "Yes, hello who is this?" Eugene says. "My name is Clara, Clara Bennett. I heard about you in the newspaper and I would love to work for you!" I say with excitement. "Well, it is so lovely to meet you Clara, as you know my name is Eugene, Eugene Harrington. I would love for you to work for me. When are you open for an interview?" "I am open for an interview at 5:00, how does that sound?" I really hope I get the job, I think to myself. "5:00 is great, see you then!" He then hangs up the phone before I get the chance to say anything else.

I notice the time is 7:49 and school starts at 8:00. I am still quite far from the school so I decide to start running so I hopefully get there on time.

While running I think about how nice it will be to finally get a job and then eventually get a car. I'll be fine with any car but the car I really want is a pure white 2017 Volkswagen Beetle Classic. That thought then vanishes my brain when I realize Eugene never gave me his address. I don't have time to call him back now though so I guess I will just have to call him after school.
