The morning sun rose slowly over the horizon of Ilvaris, its golden light casting long shadows across the peaceful village. The soft hum of the starship was a comforting constant, but Rei’s mind was far from calm.

Kae might have headed in that direction. It is the only lead I could find.”
Rei’s pulse quickened. “Do you think Kae could be there?”
“It’s possible, but I cannot confirm it with certainty,” Miko replied. “However, I recommend exploring the location. It may provide answers.”
Rei stood up, determination flooding his veins. For the first time in days, he felt a flicker of hope. Kae wasn’t completely out of reach. There was still a chance.

Rei leaned back in his seat, his fingers lingering on the control panel as he glanced over at the side console. He opened the files of photos and videos they had taken together on Ilvaris—the adventures they’d shared, the quiet moments, and their laughter during shared meals with the locals.

In one of the videos, Rei remembered the moment when Kae had mentioned a place he planned to visit after Ilvaris. “There’s a planet, a few weeks away, a bit isolated... might visit it soon,” Kae had said, though the name of the planet had escaped Rei’s mind. The thought felt like a clue, a thread to follow, though it wasn’t clear enough to be certain.
But the possibilities lingered, faint but hopeful.
