In the dimly lit war room, Jason and Elise joined Marcus and the other rebels. Maps and blueprints of The Clinic were spread out on the table, illuminated by flickering candlelight. The air was thick with tension and anticipation.
Marcus pointed to a section of the blueprint. "Our target is the power core. It's the only way to disable their defenses and buy us enough time to infiltrate the main facility."
Elise leaned in, her eyes scanning the details. "How heavily guarded is it?"
"Very," Marcus replied. "But we've got an inside man. Dr. Kade has agreed to help us."
Jason's eyes widened in surprise. "Dr. Kade? Why would she help us?"
"She's seen the truth," Marcus explained. "She believes in our cause."
Jason felt a surge of hope. "Then we have a chance. Let's do this."
As they prepared for the mission, Jason's thoughts drifted to his past. He remembered the days before The Clinic, the simple joys of family life with Elise. Their parents had been kind and loving, instilling in them a sense of justice and compassion.
But all that changed when The Clinic came into their lives. Their parents had been targeted for their involvement in a resistance movement. Jason and Elise were separated, and Jason was taken to The Clinic, where his memories were wiped, and he was turned into a weapon.
"I won't let them do this to anyone else," Jason vowed, his determination renewed.
