After trading a few jabs with his opponent, Archie could see the kid was probably an adequate brawler, but lacked the finesse.
Archie suddenly let loose a flurry of combinations that sent the kid sprawling and into defense mode.
A right then a left to the kid's jaw sent him into the ropes.
He’s a bum
, thought Archie. Still, the kid was game and came back with a few shots to Archie’s body before the round was over.
Archie hadn’t even broken a sweat. His corner man dabbed at him with an already wet and bloody towel. The blood certainly wasn’t Archie’s, and he wondered what he become involved in.
The bell pealed.
Archie went back out to finish the fight. He belted the skinny kid’s head with a right and a left, and then heard a grunt when he smashed his glove into the kid’s bread basket.
"Cover up, ya lummox," Archie said around his mouthpiece into his opponent's ear.
