"Guys we have a problem," Andrea groaned as she sat down next to me on a black bench in front of the restaurant we were planning to eat at. "So I guess we forgot to reserve a table," her eyes instantly met with Lindsay's and I knew she had once again forgotten to do the one thing Andrea and me asked her to do.
"Every time!" I broke out into laughter as everyone stared Lindsay down. "So does that mean we have to wait a little longer to be seated or what?" I asked Andrea.
"That's the bad part, we don't have a table. They only do reservations on Fridays and weekends so we're sorta screwed, but Sammy suggested we go check out that local club everyone was talking about. I heard Kenny and Wes were there," Andrea gleamed.
Everyone seemed hype by the change of plans but I wasn't really up to go out to such a social setting. After spending so many hours outside on my feet moving around all I wanted was to sit down and stuff my face.
"Well, not be a party pooper but I'm going to pass," I frowned slightly. "I'm really tired and not up for clubbing. I'll take an Uber back to the hotel but y'all tell me if anything scandalous happens!" I winked at the girls before standing up and positioning my skirt.
"You're going back alone?" Nate mumbled under his breath, trying to sound as casual as possible.
"No big deal. I can handle," I smiled before pulling out my phone to order my ride home.
"I'm kinda tired too. I wouldn't mind going back with you–" his sentence quickly got cut off as a quirky Samuel interrupted.
"I bet you wouldn't. I doubt she'd give you any tonight though," he laughed at his own remarks. It was moments like these when no one appreciated Sammy's lose tongue.
"I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say those weren't his intentions." I chuckled at Sam. "Plus you're right, I'm not that much fun." I turned to Nate and frowned playfully.
in the car
We both sat in silence as we made our way back to the hotel. I hated the awkward silence and tried my hardest to come up with something worth sharing.
"How much you want to bet Sammy brings back a random girl?" I glanced over at Nate who quickly looked up from his phone.
"That poor chick doesn't know what she's getting into. I hope he doesn't thought, I'll get kicked out of our room." He groaned and looked back down at his cell phone.
A small sigh escaped my lips as the car filled with silence once again. I had tried to start up a conversation but it didn't work out as expected. I scooted up in my seat as I saw the hotel in the distance. I was relived we had finally arrived.
"I can finally take these heels off," I sighed in relief as Nate helped me out of the vehicle we both shared.
"I don't understand why you even wear them. They look so fucking uncomfortable." He shook his head as you both entered the hotel lobby.
"I like to crush dreams with my shoes," I smirked and pulled out my room key.
The lobby was quiet and empty, everyone was tucked away in their room. It was odd sight to see the hotel this vacant.
"Yoo–" Nate pulled my arm as he walked over to the pool side exit. "It's empty, let take a swim!" He looked at me with wonder filled eyes.
"Nate it's empty because it's closed! We can't go in!" I gasped as he unlocked the gate and pulled me inside the pool deck. "We might get in trouble," I pulled him back away from the pool.
