Christmas Eve

One day to go,

Chimney free flow.

Fire slowly dimming,

Children sleeping.

Carrots sat aside,

With an ale and mince pie.

Lights out,

Snow falling around.

Stars shining bright,

A shadow in the moonlight.

A sleigh, man and reindeer,

Only seen this night every year.

Marks print every roof,

The only thing that's proof.

On Christmas Eve night,

Santa takes flight.
