^^^are they not adorable?!

☯☯☯☯☯

i subtly bop my head to the loud music, that travels from my phone, through little white cords all the way up to my ears.

"yeah, we're dressed in black from head to toe

we've got guns hidden under our petticoats

and we're never gonna quit it

no we're never gonna quit it, no"

,i sing along.

"ash, mate!" i hear luke yell, from somewhere inside our shared flat.

"what?" i yell back, pulling my headphones out of my ears.

luke walks into the room, wearing black skinny jeans, with holes where black fabric should be covering his knees, and a nasa t-shirt, i could've sworn i saw calum wearing yesterday.

"so.." he says spinning in a circle, "what da ya think?"

"why are you asking me? ask calum, he knows more about fashion than i do." luke frowns.

"that's not true! and, i was going to ask calum... but, he's off somewhere with michael."

"oh, well i think you look great, mate." i answer with a reassuring smile.

"thanks! you don't think it's to..." he pauses, looking for the right word. "casual,"

"well it depends on where your going, lukey." i reply, standing up from my extremely comfortable spot on the couch.

"oh, you know... out." luke draws out, mysteriously.

"lucas!" i yell, luke covers his ears.

"ow, ashton! i think you broke my..." luke stops, and looks to me for an answer.

"ear drums, luke. they're called ear drums."

"i think you broke my ear drums!" he yells at me.

"they mustn't not be broken, because you heard me tell you what they were called." i giggle.

"whatever," snaps luke.

"so..." i draw out, with a mischievous smile, "where are you going?"

"i told you, " he argues, "i'm going out."

"going out?" i hop up and down(i probably look like a kangaroo), giggling, grasping his arm. "out? like on a date?"

with a giggle, luke nods. "omg, omg, omg! what's her name?"

"it's a he, actually." luke corrects, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink. the news of him going out with a guy doesn't surprise me, i've known about luke being bisexual for some time now.

"is it calum? omg! your going out with calum!" i scream.

"no," exclaims luke, covering his ears once again. "and please stop saying omg. it's getting annoying."

my kangaroo like manor slowly comes to a halt. "why not?" i whine.

"yes, i'm bi, calum's gay, and we both like eachother. but, we can't go out." sighs luke.

"but, but, why not? you guys are my otp. cake." i exclaim, waving my arms like one of those sexy ladies, that wave a flag, signaling that the racers can go.

"what the fuck, is an otp?" chuckles luke.

"you know, otp. it stands for one true pairing."

"no i didn't know, until now. i think you spend too much time stalking the fans, ash." luke grins.

"whatever," i sigh, sitting back down on the couch. "so...?" i question.

"so... what?" luke says, a look of confusion written across his face.

"so...why can't you and calum go out?"

"oh... that." he sighs, whilst taking a seat next to me on the couch.

"we all know michael is homophobic." luke glances in my direction.

yes, we all know that michael is a homophobe. he's made that pretty clear. there was this one time, during our there's no place like home tour, we were on a weekend break from the tour, and decided to go to the mall. we went into a music store, i believe was called pats music, and happened to run into to guys with their arms lovingly wrapped around each other, michael insisted we leave.

i wish we would've left. however, calum insisted we stayed, because he wanted to look for a new bass. so of course michael being michael, subtly but-not-so subtly, made gagging faces at the -dare i say adorable- couple. which then led to him calling the couple some pretty nasty words. and obviously, that got us kicked out of the store.

"so what does michael have to do with yours and calum's relationship?"

"michael doen't know that i'm bi. he doesn't know calum is gay either. there is a reason for that. if he found out that any of us guys were anything but straight, he would probably leave the band." luke sighs. "i love this band more than anyone could possibly know -so does calum." he looks me in the eyes. "we could never be the reason this band broke up. and besides what would the fans think? i don't think they'd be happy."

"my otp..." i whine. luke embraces me in a hug. "so... your just going out on a date with a random guy. why are you going out with a guy anyway? isn't that the reason you aren't going out with calum? to hide your sexuality?"

"yeah..." he sighs. i've heard him sigh more in this one conversation, than the whole time that i have known him. "i'm just going out with him to get over calum."

i have never wanted to cry more in my life. luke, always smiling, always happy, little luke. it's not fair to him-or to calum- that because michael can't accept the fact that some guys like guys, and some girls like girls, they can't go out. they're in love. i can see it in their eyes, they love each other so, so much.
