"Mummaaaaaaa!" Meerab comes running to her mother and hugs her from back.
Her mother almost trips by the force and fake scolds her, "Meerab, kitni bar kaha aise mujhe heart attack mat diya karo."
"Uff mumma aap ki to mujhe bass dantne ko padi hein, ask me what happened." Meerab giggles.
"What happened?" Her mother asks.
"I'm very happy."
"Why?"
"Because aap ki pyaari beti finally Karachi Law firm internship ke liye select ho gayi hein!"
"Kyaaa!" Meerab's mother smiles in happiness and kisses her forehead, "My beautiful daughter. I knew you could do it."
Meerab says, "Don't tell, Baba. I'll suprise him after coming back from my tour."
"Oh I almost forgot about your tour. Is it really necessary to go there?" Her mother asks with concern.
Meerab pouts, "Mumma, it's my last trip with my classmates as a student. After this who knows when we will ever meet again for a long time. Please."
"Achcha Baba thik hein. I won't object anymore." Her mother says resignedly.
Meerab smiles, "When will Baba return home?"
"He has gone to a client's party today. He'll be late for dinner. You go freshen up, I'll serve you dinner." Her mother says.
"It's fine. I already ate street food with my friends. I'm not hungry anymore. Let Baba come back first." Meerab goes to her room.

"Good morning, meri Jaan." Wakas Pasha kisses his daughter's forehead on the bed.
Meerab wakes up smiling, "Good morning, Baba."
"Aj tour pe jaana tha na tumhe?" Her Baba asks. Meerab nods, "Ha Baba, bas abhi niklungi thodi der mein."
"Achcha chalo, shabash main tumhe airport chhodke aata hoon."
"Airport?" Meerab laughs, "Nahi Baba, we'll go by train. Jaha hum jaa rahe hein waha koi airport nahi hein. Kafi dur gaon hein ye. Aap fikar na karen Saba aayegi mujhe pick karne."
"Achcha, phir salamat se jaana, beta." Meerab nods. Wakas Pasha stands up, "I'll leave for court then."
Meerab bids him goodbye, "Okay, bye Baba. I'll be fine, don't worry."
Meerab meets her friends at station, "Rohail kaha hein, woh nahi aaya abhi tak?"
"Wo nahi aa payega Meerab, uska koi family emergency aa aagaya tha." Meerab's face pull down, "Family emergency? Aisa kya ho gaya achank?"
"Tumhe itni uljhan kyun hein, Meerab? Miss kar rahi ho kya Rohail ko?" Her friends teases. Meerab rolls her eyes and smiles, "Chup karoge tum log? Dost hein woh humara. I'm just concerned."
"Haan Haan dost to humara bhi Heinz woh" they say.
They reach the village. "Wow such a pretty village!" Meerab says.
Meerab runs across the station. Her friend, Nawal calls her, "Meerab don't run around. Let's go to the village head, first. We have to take permission to stay here first."
Meerab turns back, "Why do we need other's permission to stay here? Ye gaon kisi ka bap ka hain kya?"
"Haan. Baap ka hi hein. Khan Shahnewaz ki zamin hein ye. Ab ispe unka beta raj karta hein." Meerab mocks, "Weird. You can buy a whole village just like that? What about the people living there?"
