I close my eyes. His hand helping me keeping quiet.
The man growls.
"I can hear your heartbeat little rabbit" . . .
I squeeze my eyes hard together in fear, knowing that whatever that man is, it's capable of killing us.
"We have not come here to fight, just to pass through." The man behind me says in a tight but calm tone. Leaves rustles around us until the other man nears us. "If you attack us I will draw my sword and it's silver." ... *silence* A deep growl vibrates through the air. "If man not here to fight, then why bears he a silver blade?..." I open my eyes as he eerily silently walk up in front of us. Facing away. He lifts his head sniffs, stills and slowly turns his head towards us. He stands there, completely still, staring at us from the side. Eyes unnaturally wide open, not blinking. A drop of drool lands on the ground.
*drip* .... *drip-drop* His body tenses.
"I'l- I'll let you leave if you give me her." He bites out. His jaw larger than before, making his words sound odd. Eyes zooming in on me, drooling worsening. I begin shaking, holding on tightly to the men behind me. He seems to think about it but eventually says: "I'm afraid I won't be doing tha-"
"Am hungry" the beast bites out, now turned towards us. "She won't feel pain, I'll make it quick.. painless."
He takes a step forward. "If you come closer we will fight and it'll be a fight you won't be winning." Blonde man says low but loud and clear.
"I have fought many of your kind, many have bled by my sword and more will." His arms release me, tucking me behind him. A whirling sound rings out in the air as he draws his sword. The beast rumbles and nose elongates. Bones cracking as he grows taller, hairier and more wild like. "As you wish lycan."
