Hello all! Fublle here will the beginning to the rewrite of my first ever story on here, ClockTale! The original version will stay on here along with this one, so both myself and others would be able to see the difference in the style and way of writing. This story will be written in third person/all knowing, rather than first person like the original story is.

Anyways, I hope you call all enjoy this rewrite 4 years later!!

The resets are an odd thing. They happen at random and no one is in control of it, no one knows. The whole world just resets itself to a fixed point in time, and everything constantly repeats itself.. until it doesn't.

"Sans, it's time to wake up for work!" The voice of a skeleton, Papyrus calls through the house as it does everyday to awake his sleeping brother.

And, like everyday, Sans awakes with a jolt and a slurred call in response to say he is up.

Everyday is the same. Sans gets up out of bed after a moment of contemplation on his existence and gets dressed for the day, looking longingly at the comfy clothes he has set aside for lazy (lazier) days but not moving towards them and instead opening his closet. Looking at his selection is slightly comical due to the fact that is completely the same. All the same white and slightly off white pinstriped short sleeved button up collared shirt and black slacks.

Realizing he needs to be out in less than three minutes, the short skeleton grabs an eyepatch from atop his night table and hurriedly slipping it on, before making his way down the stairs and to his brother.

"G'mornin Paps," Sans greats his taller, yet younger brother who is making spaghetti by the stove, -the only meal he seems to know how to make-, humming at the returned gesture and a side hug. "I gotta go. Sentry duty an' all that."He reaches for the watch sat on the small counter between the stove and the wall separating the kitchen from the rest of the house. He murmurs to his brother and quickly making his way out of the house after grabbing his puffy pale green and white hoodie, making sure not to trip on the lowest, uneven stair.

Despite knowing he has everything on him, Sans still checks to make sure he has his things in his pockets. The manual on how to fix a watch, which is always in the breast pocket of his shirt, a pocket watch in his pant pocket with random gears, wires, and screws and a mini screwdriver kit in his hoodie pocket. Satisfied, Sans makes his way through the snowy terrain of Snowdin.

"Sans!" Jumping at the call of his name, the skeleton turns in time to see the human running at him. He is just raising his arms to defend himself when little arms wrap around him, and.. Is that shaking?

"U-uh.. hey kiddo. Wassup?" His hands stay hovering awkwardly. This isn't normal for him. The kid, Frisk, doesn't like him very much. They prefer Papyrus over himself, -not that he can complain. He does as well-.

"There's another skeleton!"

Another.. what?"

"I- I don't know who they are b-but they said that their name was Sans like you and that they're looking for you!"

This has never happened before. Sans would know. Unsure if this is a prank or not, he decides to follow in the end "Show me."

Grabbing his gloved yet bony hand, the human child leads Sans to the back of Grillby's where a figure is standing.

They look.. familiar, to Sans. Dressing how he used to with fluffy pink slippers, black shorts with a white sports stripe down both sides and a gray and white hoodie, a red scarf like Papyrus' wrapped around the hooded figures neck. "So, you're Sans?" The figure asks rhetorically.
