Chapter 3- The Email

I wake up to my alarm at 8:05am "ughhh it's too earlyyyy" I groan and shut off my alarm before rubbing my eyes and stretching. I quickly get off of my bed, go to my vanity and open my MacBook waiting for my email to appear. I brush my hair and do some of my skincare before I hear an email notification go off on my MacBook. I open it nervously and my face lights up, I can't help but squeal. "Oh my gosh!!!!" I read the email. "I got the part!!!" My first thought isn't to text McKenna but to text Walker.

I quickly change out of my towel and into some clean clothes, I blow dry my hair, do some light makeup and grab my purse and phone before looking in the mirror to make sure I looked good. Why did I care so much? I mean it's only Walker. It's not like I have a crush on him or anything..

I see his car and rush outside,once I open the door I'm met with a smiling Walker. "Hey! Ready to go?" He asks as I shut the car door "yep!" "Ok sooo Starbucks right?" "Duhh!!" I tell him and we both slightly laugh. We get to the Starbucks after around an 8 minute drive. There isn't a line so we just step right up to the counter. I look up at Walker waiting for him to order but he looks at me and slightly whispers "you first" with a smile I felt my cheeks flush a little. "I- uhm I'll have a pink drink with cold foam on top please" I state to the woman who took our order. She looked to be about 34. Walker started to order as well. "I'll have a uhm-" he looked at the menus puzzled "a- uhh" "I tap him lightly and he looks down to face me "yeah?" He asks "you don't know what to get do you?" I ask him playfully laughing a little. "Yeah no" he says laughing a bit "do you want me to get you something you might like?" I ask him and he smiles "yes please! Just I don't want it to be pink like yours, I'm not really a fruity drink type of guy" I laugh at his words and order for him. "He'll have a vanilla iced cold brew with 3 pumps of caramel" I say confidently "wow that actually does seem like something I would like" he say's surprised. "Your total i goin to be 13.95" the nice cashier lady states and without hesitation I reach into my purse to get my wallet. But by the time I pulled it out Walker had his card in his hand too. I looked at him with a "seriously?" Look before trying shoving his hand out of the way to try and pay but I miserably fail. He grabs my hands lightly and pushes me back a little before tapping his card. "Oops" he says smirking at me as I give him a playful glare crossing my arms. "I'm paying next time" I say as we stand to the side to wait for our drinks. We make a little but of small talk before the same lady comes over with our drinks. "Thank you!" We both say at the same time. The lady smiles a bit, "you two are a cute couple" my face goes bright red from this and I turn to Walker too see his face is just as red as mine. "Oh- wer-" I say but get choke on my words. "We're n-not a couple!" I finally state. "Oh sorry! You two just kinda seemed.. my bad!" She says and walks away. My face and Walkers still BRIGHT red.
