A few months later, it was April 25, 2005. Samuel had finished recording his first studio album, that went under the name The Way I Live, which was an album full of songs about life struggles. He self-released the album on May 8, 2005, and it very quickly became a huge success. The most popular song on the album was titled Turn Back Time, which was a reminiscent song about wanting to go back to childhood and relive the good old days. The Way I Live became so popular that it caught the attention of "Legendary Records", a record label that was signing smaller artists, and let them keep all the royalties. Legendary signed Samuel Higgins on June 13, 2005, just one month after the release of The Way I Live. Samuel's very first album sold over 20 million copies worldwide, and earned him a Diamond Certification. Over a year later on August 20, 2006, Samuel released another studio album, which was under the name I Dare You. It was an album that had songs about personal growth and development, and there was actually a really meaningful track on the album, which was titled Depressed, which is a song about overcoming depression as a teenager. The album became a bigger success than The Way I Live, and Depressed peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. I Dare You ended up selling over 35 million copies, getting Samuel three Diamond Certifications.
