after a long day at school, i was on my way home lost in my thoughts while taking the train.
three weeks have passed since i first met reo and nagi, and we have been training constantly every day after school and other tasks.
i must complete my homework before i can go to the field.
i got off the train, walked until i was standing in front of the main door and went inside. my brother then called to me from the kitchen.
nice smell.
"y/n, du hast einen brief bekommen." (y/n, you got a letter.)
"hä?" (huh?)
i went into the kitchen and looked at the cake my brother was preparing as he went on to say-
"ich war auch überrascht. ich dachte, dass papierbriefe in japan nicht mehr verwendet würden .." (i was surprised too. i thought that paper letters were no longer used in japan.)
"komisch .." (weird ..)
"ich habe es auf den tisch im wohnzimmer gestellt." (i put it on the table in the living room.)
as i entered the living room and saw the letter on the table, i hummed curiously. i picked it up and looked at the cover. interesting ..

my eyes widened as i examined the letter over and over again. they said that i had the ability to outskill the most talented individuals. is this an april fool's joke? no, september is almost over-
"worum geht es in dem brief?" b/n took the cake out of the oven and while he waited for it to cool down, he came to check on me. (what's the letter about?)
i was too stunned to speak up, so i just gave him the letter and waited to see how he would react.

"GEIL! hast du nicht schon immer gesagt, du würdest gerne fußball spielen?? das ist deine CHANCE! sie sagten sogar, sie würden sich um alle rechtlichen angelegenheiten kümmern!" (AWESOME! haven't you always said you would like to play football?? this is your CHANCE! they even said they would take care of all the legal matters!"
why am i surprised? my brother always shown his support by explaining with enthusiasm. even now, as though he's the one taking part in whatever this was.
especially in football.
my father was a well-known and accomplished football player who played with the best clubs and players before he died with my mother in a car accident. take noal noa, for example. they were good friends.
now, you might wonder why my brother traveled all the way to japan "for a better future" given that my father was a player (a player's salary is obviously huge, bonus point of you're a professional one.)
the answer is that i don't know either. whenever i ask, he keeps saying that he wants to be independent and to take care of me with his own money. that's why b/n didn't use the money our parents left as a legacy. even after he lost his job in the company back then in germany. he never gave up.
what a weird man.
i chuckled as he tried to convince me to take part in this project. to try my luck and to test my talent, he says.
why not try it out? i'm fed up with the same old routine and that damn school anyway.
"such dir besser eine freundin wenn ich zurückkomme, sonst bist du allein~" and we both laughed aloud. (you better find a girlfriend when i get back, otherwise you'll be alone~)
i decided that my homework was no longer important, so i skipped it and had a shower. as my wet hair fell to my shoulders, i laid back on my bed, picked up my phone, and typed a message to someone i was meant to meet with his friend today.

after my little talk with reo, i decided to message nagi and ask him to play some online games. he accepted the offer right away and we played for hours until my brother invited me to enjoy the cake with him at night.
this blue lock thing is going to be fun.
