Hey people!
First, I want to share why I haven’t updated the chapters of my Mahisakshi story, even though I’ve written a lot over the past few days.
Honestly, the reason is a bit silly.
So, I prayed to God, saying if I stayed offline until the IPL Mega Auction, the players I wanted in CSK would be picked. And guess what? On the first day of the auction, my prayers were answered!
We got Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra, and Ashwin Anna! I was beyond happy, especially with Ashwin Anna’s homecoming. It felt like a dream come true. But then came the second day of the auction, and things didn’t go as I had hoped.
Of course, I’m thrilled we got Sam Curran back, but losing some of our beloved players hit me hard. It’s difficult to imagine them in other jerseys or, in some cases, going unsold. Here’s what I feel for each of them, and I’d love to hear what you all think too:
1. Deepak Chahar
I knew we might not go for him because of his injuries, but not seeing him in yellow is heartbreaking. He’s been such a key player for us, and I can’t imagine him in another jersey.
2. Mitchell Santner
It feels awful knowing he’s going to Mumbai. He’s been with us for so many years, even though he hasn’t had a proper season. Seeing him leave feels like a betrayal, and I can’t help but feel a little upset with CSK for letting him go.
3. Tushar Deshpande
This man always had my heart racing with his performances—sometimes in a good way, sometimes not. But that unpredictability was what made him special. I’ll miss him so much.
4. Shardul Thakur
It’s heartbreaking that he went unsold. While others found teams, Shardul, the guy who gave us so many memorable moments, didn’t even get a bid. It hurts deeply.
5. Maheesh Theekshana
Losing him feels like a huge blow. I’ll miss seeing him beside Pathirana. Together, they were magic.
6. Sameer Rizvi
I genuinely thought we’d go for him. He had the potential to be our next Suresh Raina. But we didn’t even bid for him. It’s disappointing.
7. Simarjeet Singh
I still remember his match-winning bowling against Punjab last year. Letting him go doesn’t feel right, especially after those moments of brilliance.
8.Rajvardhan Hangrekar
I thought we'll go for him but..
9. Suresh Raina
Even though we lost him in the auction years ago, the pain never fades. Not seeing him with Ashwin Anna and Sam back in yellow will always be one of the most heartbreaking things for me.
Though CSK made some great picks like Noor Ahmed, Rahul Tripathi, Khaleel Ahmed, and others, my heart will always miss these players in yellow.
But in the end, I believe it’s all part of God’s plan. Let’s cheer for the new team and treasure the memories these players gave us.
