The Transfer

I walked towards the lunch table where all the athletes from East Ridge sit. The cheerleaders, ballers, football players, hockey team, and girls softball team sit there. We're pretty much the table everybody wants to sit at.

On the way to my lunch table, I see Reneé Williams sitting in a corner all by herself. I don't know, there's just something about that girl. Now I know what you're thinking. I'm a senior, captain of the basketball team, most popular kid in school. I could have any girl, why Reneé? I don't even know. Whenever I'm around her, I just have this weird feeling that I've never really felt before.

The only thing I fear is that my reputation will be in jeopardy. Around school, I've been hearing people call Reneé "the new transfer girl." I really like Reneé and all, but my reputation is all that I have at this school. I can't mess that up. No status at East Ridge basically means that a whole bunch of idiotic football players will end up throwing you in the dumpster after school. But when I'm around Reneé, none of my surroundings really seem to matter to me, I just want to be with her.

If Reneé feels about me the way that I do for her, I think I might just have a better chance of getting her than I thought. And I think I know just the way to get close to her, nobody can know.

Other than the times that she's behind me in the lunch line, we take Chem. and Geometry together. I've heard around East Ridge that she's a total genius when it comes to Math and Science. Well.......I'm not.

Mr. Anderson, my Chemistry teacher, told me that I could chose any one of my classmates to tutor me as long as they have above a 90 average.

When I heard that, I was so overwhelmed with joy, as it was an obvious message from God himself, simply telling me "Reneé Wiliams is just destined to be your future bae...... Reneé Jones."
