Kairo led Loomis out of the diner and into the bright morning sunlight. He took a deep breath, enjoying the warmth of the sun on his scales. "You know, it's a beautiful day today. The perfect day for a relaxing stroll."

Loomis followed Kairo, his hands stuffed in his pockets. He eyed Kairo, mumbling something incoherent at the Miraidon's optimistic attitude.

Kairo couldn't help but smile at Loomis's grumpy response. He found the Umbreon's grumpiness to be endearing, in a strange sort of way. "Come on, lighten up a bit. You're going to ruin the mood if you keep sulking like that."

Loomis sighed deeply, glancing up at the sky as they walked. He had to admit, the sun was nice and warm and the air was clean and refreshing. "... So... we're just... walking?"

Kairo chuckled, amused by Loomis's questioning tone. "Yep, just walking. Enjoying the sights, taking in the fresh air, all that good stuff."

Loomis seemed annoyed at the idea, clearly thinking of better things to do. Like work. Or sleep. "I could've just gone to the gym to walk..."

Kairo raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by Loomis's complaints. "Oh come on, is it really that bad? You're telling me you'd rather go work out than take a nice stroll through town with your roommate?" He teased, nudging Loomis playfully with his elbow.

Loomis stumbled to the side at Kairo's nudge and his eye twitched out of irritation, but he didn't respond, continuing to walk with his hands in his pockets.

Kairo chuckled, noticing the slight twitch in Loomis's eye. He knew he was getting under the Umbreon's skin, but that was half the fun. He enjoyed teasing his grumpy roommate, and he was determined to get him to enjoy the walk. "You know, you're surprisingly good at walking. I half expected you to fall over from lack of sleep."

"I still might." Loomis grumbled, glancing away at the ground. He couldn't lie, he was tired, but he'd just be working right now if it weren't for Kairo.

Kairo smirked, sensing the underlying exhaustion in Loomis's voice. "Don't worry, I'll make sure you don't fall over. I'll carry you if I have to."

Loomis glowered at him. "Touch me, I'll murk you."

Kairo held up his hands in mock surrender, a sly grin on his face. "Easy there, tiger. No need to get violent. I was only joking."

Loomis glanced ahead of them again, slouching as they walked. "... So was I. Mostly."

Kairo chuckled, amused by Loomis's half-hearted threat. He knew the Umbreon was tired and grumpy, but there was no real bite to his words. It was all just part of their usual banter. "Right, of course you were."

Loomis fell silent again, focusing on the sound of their footsteps and the occasional chatter of passerby. He couldn't help but notice how peaceful it was, despite his initial reluctance to go on this walk.

As they walked, Kairo glanced over at Loomis. He noticed the slight relaxation in the Umbreon's features, and he couldn't help but smile to himself. It was nice to see Loomis slowly letting his guard down, even if it was just a little bit.

Loomis sighed softly, his ears falling back against his head as they walked. "Are we... going anywhere in particular?"

Kairo nodded, a sly grin spreading across his face. "Oh yeah, I have a specific destination in mind. You'll see soon enough."

Loomis narrowed his eyes suspiciously at Kairo's cocky expression, uncertain what the other had planned, but he kept his complaints quiet for the time beings.

Kairo chuckled at the suspicious look on Loomis's face, but he remained silent. They continued walking for a while longer, until they reached a quaint little park. The park was surrounded by tall trees, casting shade over the grassy field and providing a sense of tranquility.
