Paris, bathed in a soft, overcast morning glow. The streets are quiet, save for the occasional hum of passing cars. For most, it's just another day in the romantic city, but for Y/N and Jennie, the air feels thick with anticipation.

Y/N blinked against the soft morning light spilling through the curtains. The Eiffel Tower stood tall in the distance, framed by the expansive windows, but its beauty failed to lift the heaviness in her chest. She sighed, rolling onto her side and burying her face in the pillow, trying to will the day away before it even started.

Her phone buzzed on the bedside table, dragging her out of her haze. Y/N reached for it reluctantly, squinting at the screen. A reminder flashed at the top: PR DATE - 11AM. Beneath it, messages from Karina hovered unread, her name a small comfort amidst the chaos of Y/N's thoughts.

With a groan, she sat up, running a hand through her tousled hair. She couldn't ignore what was waiting for her today-rehearsals, the final show, and the dreaded PR date with Jennie. The thought sent a sharp pang through her chest, and her stomach churned uneasily.

Dragging herself out of bed, Y/N shuffled to the bathroom. She splashed cold water on her face, hoping to snap herself out of the fog clouding her mind. As she stared at her reflection, she noticed the dark circles under her eyes and the tightness in her jaw.

"Get it together," she muttered to herself. "It's just one more day. One more show. One more appearance."

But even as she said it, her reflection seemed unconvinced. Jennie's face flashed in her mind, unbidden. Y/N's chest tightened at the memory of their last phone call. The anger, the hurt, the unresolved tension-it all swirled together, threatening to consume her.

Pushing the thought aside, she returned to the bedroom, where her suitcase lay open on the floor. She methodically folded a fresh set of clothes for the day, her movements mechanical. Her fingers lingered on a small velvet pouch in the corner of the suitcase. Inside was the necklace Jennie had given her-a simple, elegant piece that used to bring her comfort.

For a moment, Y/N debated leaving it behind. But as much as she hated to admit it, the necklace still felt like a lifeline to something she wasn't ready to let go of. She tucked it into her pocket, its weight grounding her.

By the time she joined the others in the hotel's dining room, the scent of fresh croissants and brewed coffee wafting through the air, Y/N had composed herself. Mostly.

Yunjin was already seated, gesturing animatedly as she recounted a story to Chaewon, Eunchae and Sakura. Kazuha sat beside them, scrolling through her phone and chuckling at something she'd found. Y/N slid into the seat next to Sakura, grabbing a croissant from the basket in the center of the table.

"Morning, Y/N," Yunjin greeted with a bright smile. Her gaze flicked over Y/N's face, and her smile faltered slightly. "Didn't sleep well?"

"I'm fine," Y/N said quickly, taking a sip of coffee to avoid further scrutiny.

Chaewon raised an eyebrow but didn't push. "Big day today," she said instead, her tone neutral.

"Yeah," Y/N muttered. "Big day."

Yunjin leaned forward, her eyes sparkling mischievously. "I heard your big date is today. Ready for your reunion with your favorite fake girlfriend?"

The others chuckled softly, but Y/N's stomach twisted. She forced a dry laugh, shaking her head. "Feels more like a breakup than a date."

"Y/N!" Sakura scolded lightly, though her tone was more amused than reprimanding. "Don't say that."
