T he following week was a whirlwind of excitement for A'ja and Serayah. Between unpacking boxes in their new house and adjusting to their busy schedules, they carved out time to begin planning the wedding of their dreams. Serayah had always wanted a ceremony that felt intimate yet elegant, while A'ja wanted it to reflect their personalities-fun, full of love, and completely unforgettable.
It was a crisp, sunny morning when A'ja and Serayah sat at the kitchen table, coffee mugs in hand, poring over inspiration boards and checklists. The faint scent of vanilla candles filled the room, blending with the warmth of fresh coffee.
"I'm thinking a garden wedding," Serayah said, scrolling through her phone and tilting the screen toward A'ja. "Something like this, with greenery and twinkling lights."
A'ja squinted at the image, nodding in agreement. "That's dope. Simple but classy. I like it."
"And for the colors," Serayah continued, her voice growing more animated, "I was thinking soft blush tones, ivory, and maybe some gold accents. What do you think?"
"Sounds beautiful, babe," A'ja said, leaning back in her chair. "But you know I gotta have some input too. What about adding a pop of color-like emerald green or navy blue? Something to balance all the soft tones."
Serayah grinned, impressed. "Look at you, coming through with the creative ideas."
A'ja smirked. "What can I say? I've got taste."
They spent the morning debating flower arrangements, tasting menu options, and narrowing down a guest list. A'ja jotted notes into a planner while Serayah clipped pictures from magazines and pinned ideas to a shared vision board on her tablet.
"Okay, so," A'ja said, tapping her pen against her lips. "Venue-garden. Colors-blush, gold, with a pop of green. Now, what about the music?"
"Live band," Serayah answered without hesitation. "I want that classic, romantic vibe."
"Done," A'ja replied, writing it down.
"Babe, this is really happening," Serayah said, setting down her tablet and leaning into A'ja's shoulder. "We're planning our wedding."
A'ja kissed the top of her head. "And it's going to be the best day of our lives."
By the time the evening rolled around, A'ja and Serayah decided to take a break from wedding planning for a much-needed date night. Living in Vegas meant that adventure was always just a short drive away, and tonight, they were headed to the Strip.
A'ja had planned a night of fun, starting with a ride on the High Roller, the famous observation wheel that offered stunning views of the city. The neon lights of Vegas twinkled against the night sky as they stepped into their private pod.
"This is so romantic," Serayah said, holding onto A'ja's arm as the wheel began to ascend.
"Nothing but the best for you," A'ja replied, wrapping her arm around Serayah's waist.
They took in the breathtaking views, the city sprawling beneath them like a glittering sea of lights. As the pod reached its peak, Serayah leaned into A'ja, their laughter blending with the soft hum of the city below.
"Okay, what's next?" Serayah asked as they stepped off the High Roller.
A'ja smirked. "How about some indoor skydiving?"
Serayah's eyes widened. "Skydiving? Babe, you're crazy!"
"C'mon, it'll be fun," A'ja said, tugging her toward the iFLY Indoor Skydiving Center. "You trust me, right?"
Serayah rolled her eyes playfully. "I do, but if I end up looking ridiculous, I'm blaming you."
The experience was exhilarating. They laughed until their stomachs hurt as they tried to master the wind tunnel, both of them flailing hilariously before getting the hang of it.
