Rekindled

Chapter 4

"Sa'n ko to ilalagay, Sheen?", dala-dala ni Jovane ang nipa na gagawin naming ding-ding para sa aming booth.

"You can put that here, Jov," said Ani Sheena.

Ang mga ka-group naming lalaki ang mga nagbubuhat ng mabibigat na mga bagay and the ones who's building the booth. Kami naman nina Vincess ay nagdedesinyo para sa mga palamuti na ilalagay namin sa aming booth.

"Vince, Kaye," Riza excitedly showed us the traditional clothes she was holding from Bukidnon.

"Wow," Sabay named Sabi Ni Vincess.

"I'll be honored if I get the chance to wear this," wala sa sariling sabi ko habang hinahawakan iyon.

"Since kailangan naman natin ng mga models to promote our chosen culture and to persuade people to come and take a look at our booths di, you're in," Gulat kaming napatingin kay Sheena dahil sa biglaan nitong pagsulpot. Wait... Did I hear it right?

"It will be my pleasure," Sheena giggled at what I said. Di naman halata na excited siya.

We continue doing what we were doing when Sheena asks Jovane and John to buy some food, dahil sumobra yong perang kinita namin sa busking, and it's almost lunch time.

"Guys, rest muna tayo. Wait lang tayo sa dalawa dahil nagpapabili ako ng pagkain for lunch," ang hinhin talaga ng boses ni Sheena. Her voice reflected her angelic face.

Sumunod naman kami sa sinabi niya.

"It's almost done," Sabi ni Sheena ng makalapit sa amin ni Vincess.

The three of us smiled. It really does feel less tiring if all of the members of the group will work. Walang pabigat, walang excuses.

"What time is it?"Napatingin kami bigla kay John ng makarating ito.

"It's time for lunch," sagot naman ni Jovane, kaya napatawa kaming lahat. Bubbly guppy, lang?

We formed a circle and started eating our lunch. We just stayed like that for a while, then decided to continue our work.

Insaktong alas tres ng matapos ang lahat ng kailangan naming gawin. We sighed heavily and looked at our finished work. BEAUTIFUL. It's all I can say. We clapped our hands and had a group hug.

"I am so proud of us, guys. Behind our busy schedules, all of us give time to this activity, for we know that this is our exam, and this is really important in order for us to pass this subject. Tomorrow will be a big day for us, and I want you now to go home safely and sleep early, for we need to be here at 6 a.m. Thank you, guys," naluluhang sabi ni Sheena. Oh, our girl is emotional.

"Girl, Samahan mo muna ako sa Ororama, may bibilhin lang akong sunscreen," tamang-tama dahil may bibilhin rin akong cleanser, kaya dumiretso na kami ni Vincess sa Ororama, Cogon.

Sa cleanser section ako dumiretso, habang si Vincess ay doon sa may mga sunscreens na naka-display.

While heading to the counter para sana magbayad, I was caught off-guard with someone. I saw Ryle walking with a girl who has the same uniform as him. They're laughing. They seemed close. Honestly speaking, ang ganda nong girl.

"Girl, let's pay na baka humaba pa yong linya sa may Jeep. It's almost 5 p.m. na", nakuha ni Vincess ang aking atensyon ng bigla itong magsalita. Hindi ko alam pero bakit nakakawala ng gana?

"Girl, dito na ako," turo ni Vincess sa may sakayan ng jeep pa-Xavier Heights.

"Bye bye," I waved my hands at him.

I bet she's beautiful.
