It was around 6 p.m. when Jungkook walked into Jimin's room, his expression full of playful energy. Jimin was lounging on his bed, scrolling through his phone when Jungkook burst in, holding up a white silk shirt and a pair of black pants.
"Put this on," Jungkook instructed, his tone mischievous. "There's a party tonight, and you're coming with me."
Jimin raised an eyebrow, clearly suspicious. "A party? At this time?" he asked, looking at the clothes in his hand. "What's going on, Jungkook? This is... a little too formal for a party."
Jungkook just smirked, his eyes twinkling with a secret he wasn't about to share. "It's just a regular party, Jiminie hyung. Come on, it'll be fun. Don't overthink it."
Jimin sighed but knew better than to argue when Jungkook had that look on his face. "Fine, but I'm not wearing the makeup," he said, crossing his arms.
Jungkook grinned, unbothered. "Trust me, you'll look great. I'll take care of the rest." He quickly grabbed the makeup kit and started applying a subtle layer, carefully accentuating Jimin's features.
"Are you sure this is just a party?" Jimin asked, still eyeing Jungkook, but a small smile tugged at his lips. "You always have something up your sleeve."
Jungkook shrugged with a grin. "Maybe. But tonight, you just need to look good. You'll see why soon enough."
Jimin wasn't entirely convinced, but he couldn't deny that the playful energy between them was infectious. He chuckled, watching Jungkook's antics as the makeup was applied.
As Jimin finished getting dressed, Jungkook gave him a once-over and nodded approvingly. "Perfect," he said, with a hint of excitement in his voice. "Let's go."
But Jimin wasn't fooled-he could tell that tonight was going to be anything but ordinary.
And with that, they headed out, Jimin still unaware of the grand surprise Jungkook was preparing for him.
---
The soft, rhythmic sound of the waves crashing against the shore filled the air as Jimin stepped out of the car. His gaze swept across the quiet beach, noticing the twinkling fairy lights hanging from the trees, and his heart began to race. There, in the distance, standing in the middle of the path that led down to the sand, was Yoongi.
Jimin's eyes widened as he recognized Yoongi's attire-a sharp, black suit that fit him perfectly, the contrast of dark fabric against the soft glow of the surrounding lights only heightened the elegance of the moment. In his hands was a bouquet of delicate white roses, the stems wrapped in twine, the flowers glowing in the dim light of the setting sun. He got out of the car, walking to yoongi.
"Yoongi?" Jimin asked, his voice faltering slightly as he approached, feeling a flutter of nerves.
Yoongi stood still, his usual nonchalant demeanor softened as he looked at Jimin. There was a tenderness in his eyes that Jimin hadn't seen before. He took a step forward, walking with deliberate grace toward Jimin, who was frozen in place, trying to make sense of the surreal scene unfolding before him.
"Jimin," Yoongi started, his voice calm but thick with emotion, "I've always been the kind of person who doesn't say what I feel. But right now, I can't hold back anymore."
Jimin's heart began to race as he waited, a mix of confusion and anticipation swirling inside him.
"You've been by my side through everything, and I... I need you to know that you mean more to me than I can say," Yoongi continued, his eyes never leaving Jimin's face. "I don't want to live in the 'what-ifs' anymore."
Without another word, Yoongi dropped to one knee, the sound of his movements almost drowned out by the crashing waves. He held up the bouquet, his eyes intense with sincerity.
"Park Jimin," Yoongi said, his voice a little shaky, "Will you be my boyfriend?"
Jimin's breath caught in his throat, and for a moment, it felt like the world had stopped moving around him. He looked down at Yoongi, his heart hammering against his chest. The gesture, the unexpected question, everything was more than he could have imagined. For so long, he had thought about this moment, though never quite like this. And yet, here it was, the man who had always been a little distant, a little guarded, now offering his heart.
For a moment, Jimin was lost for words, his mind spinning with emotion. Jimin's gaze softened as he looked back down at Yoongi, whose nervousness was evident despite his usual cool exterior. The sincerity in his eyes was enough to make Jimin's heart swell with affection.
"Yoongi, I..." Jimin began, his voice breaking slightly as the magnitude of the moment hit him. "I've been waiting for you to say this. Yes. Yes, I want to be with you."
Yoongi's face lit up in an instant, a grin spreading across his face as he stood up, pulling Jimin into his arms. He spun him around once, laughing, and Jimin couldn't help but join in, his own laughter bubbling up in a mixture of relief and joy.
As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, the world around them seemed to fade. The beach, the lights, and the sound of their friends' laughter all blended together into a dreamlike moment. And Jimin, his heart still racing, realized that this was it-the beginning of something new, something beautiful.
As Yoongi held Jimin close, spinning him around in joy, the laughter between the two echoed across the beach. The lights twinkled softly around them, casting a warm glow over the moment. Jimin's heart was still racing, but now it was filled with happiness, relief, and the certainty that he had chosen the right person to share his future with.
In the background, Jin and Hoseok were discreetly filming the scene, capturing every tender moment of the proposal without disturbing the two. Their eyes were focused on the couple, ensuring that this special moment would be preserved forever, all the while smiling quietly at the beautiful unfolding of emotions.
Taehyung stood nearby, his gaze fixed on Jungkook, who seemed completely absorbed in watching Yoongi and Jimin. Taehyung's expression was unreadable, his thoughts deep as he looked at the back of Jungkook's head. Jungkook, for his part, was lost in the joy of the scene, his attention fully on his friends, unaware of the quiet weight of Taehyung's gaze.
The moment lingered, the air thick with unspoken feelings as Taehyung and Jungkook stood apart, each lost in their own thoughts. Meanwhile, Jimin and Yoongi shared a quiet embrace, their love now etched into the sands of time, unbroken by anything except the warmth of the moment.

The group stood around for a moment, still caught in the afterglow of the proposal, before Jin spoke up, breaking the silence. "Who should I drop off?" he asked, looking around at the group.
Namjoon, Hoseok, and Yoonji all nodded, signaling that they would go together. They were eager to leave, content with the evening and ready to head home. As they moved toward the car, they waited for Taehyung, who was still standing by the beach, his eyes lingering on Jimin and Yoongi.
Taehyung finally turned to them, offering an excuse. "Uh, Jungkook will be alone," he said with a small, almost unreadable smile. "I'll come with him."
This raised a few eyebrows, but no one pressed further. They all exchanged glances before giving Taehyung a quick wave. "Alright, take care, Taehyung," Namjoon said, his voice hinting at suspicion. "See you both later."
With a final wave, they left, leaving Taehyung and Jungkook standing there together, their figures framed against the softly illuminated beach.
The atmosphere between them was charged, as if the night held something unsaid, a weight that only they could feel.
