What Rebecca had failed to mention about the family she wanted Josh to join was the fact that they were all monsters, all eighty seven of them. So not surprisingly Rebecca introduced the fact that she and Fred were monsters too.

'Now we know that it might be strange for you' Rebecca said 'but you're one of us now.'

Josh simply laughed.

'What?' Fred asked 'Is so funny.'

His helmet was off, as Rebecca had instructed so they could now see the unprofessionalism of his behaviour.

'Well you think I'm different than you all' he said 'but I'm not.'

'What do you mean?' Rebecca asked

To reply He simply reached towards the sheath on his left leg and pulled the dagger free, he then ran it across the exposed skin of his neck, blood quickly began flowing down his pale skin. He watched as the other assassins licked their lips and gained hungry expressions, that was when Josh fully understood Rebecca's words. Some of the children were Vampiric in nature and others were Wolfish. The greed in some of their eyes was more pronounced than others. That was when Josh felt a tingle travel down his spine and saw the faces that looked so hungry turn into expressions of shock and surprise; he knew what they were seeing. They saw a face that was pale white originally, turn black as midnight and blue eyes turn blood red. That was all they saw, they couldn't see a mouth or any other visible features at all.

'So?' he asked in the echo like voice of his shadow form 'Does this make me the odd one out'

12th of March, 10:30 pm a brilliant full moon shone in the dark skies......... It was a beautiful night Josh thought as he held the P-99 against the side of his helmet. He was alone, Rebecca and Fred had taken the others out on an annual feeding trip. Josh's mind wondered to the night when his family was murdered. It had been a beautiful night just like this one but that all changed when Cory Mackintosh arrived. The silence that had originally been laughter and joy, the shooting, the shrieking, the yelling and the dying. He could never forget the shrieks or the gunshots that he had once found to be terrifying, but the one thing Josh always came back to was seeing Cory kiss his sisters dead body and turn to him, smiling as he brought up a pistol, and Josh snarling as Darkus took over for the first time and bringing up his own pistol that he had acquired from his Uncles body, he remembered snarling as he shot Cory in the shoulder. That last memory jolted Josh back to the present and just as he was about to pull the trigger Rebecca, Fred and the others returned. Josh froze as they came into view and they froze when they saw him, from where he sat he could see fresh blood around their mouths the next thing Josh knew Peter had rushed forward and yanked the P-99 from his grasp and Dawn, a girl Josh knew before he had become an assassin had pulled his arms behind his back in what he found to be an unbreakable hold.

'What?' Rebecca asked her voice suddenly a cold whisper 'do you think you were doing?'

Josh looked at the ground and didn't say a word.

Later as he passed Rebecca and Fred's room, he heard them in the middle of a heated argument

'What are we going to do Rebecca?' Fred asked 'That was far too close.'

'Fred there is only one thing we can do' Rebecca replied

'I agree we can't keep it from him any longer nor the rest of them.' Fred said

'We must tell them the truth.' Rebecca whispered
