I sighed while sitting in my bedroom bored out of my mind. My head's pounding but it's normal by now. I poke my head out from under my blanket trembling from the cold. Quietly sitting up and stretching, enjoying how dark it is in my room with the blue and green galaxy night light flickering. I'm still bored, and I'm hungry but I don't want to eat. I want to sleep. No, I think I might actually want to draw? Or try shifting. But I do know I'm rather tired. After all, it is 1:00 am. Maybe I really do need sleep? With a sigh I crawled back under my blanket and closed my eyes and fell asleep.

When I opened my eyes I was in a coffin and before I could notice the cat in front of me I started screaming, crawled out of the coffin before running out of the room, not registering the cat that was chasing me. I quickly found a library and ran and hid behind a bookshelf while starting to cry silently. I'm so confused and scared, I have no clue where I am. I wouldn't care if I knew where I was but I don't. I want my mom. Or my siblings. I don't like this one bit. After a few minutes I calmed down and the cat found me which confused me more since it had blue fire coming out of its ears and its tail was shaped like a pitch fork at the end. I could tell it was a male cat due to its size. His fur was a nice grey shade and he had a white fur patch on his chest, all of his fur looked so soft and shiny, his eyes were almost electric blue and he had a purple gemstone around his neck attached to a black and white striped ribbon.

"Oi there you are! Give me your uniform human!" The cat demanded, I just stared at him before starting to cry again which seemed to shock him. "Why are you crying!? I haven't done anything to you yet!" He shouted so I just cried more.

"W-why are you yelling at me? That's so mean!" I cried while trying to wipe the tears off my face but before the cat could say anything else a man with pointy ears, short, black wavy hair grabbed him. I kept staring at the man, mainly his outfit. He had a greatcoat over a black suit and blackbird feathers that curled out from the greatcoats blue collar while the tips of the coat were cut to resemble two bird wings and looking at his hands he had black gloves with golden claw rings on each finger.

"Ah, you must be one of the new Freshmen correct? Well we should hurry before your late to the sorting ceremony!" The man exclaimed with a smile and it was then I realized he was wearing a bird mask that made his eyes appear to be yellow lights in a dark space, like fireflies at night.

I tensed up before standing up and trying to run away again while screaming "Leave me be!" Though I didn't get far before he picked me up and started carrying me to a room filled with mirrors which only made me panic more because in the room there was a clock and if there's clocks I'm not asleep because for whatever reason clocks don't exist in dreams meaning I was awake. After a few seconds he set me down in front of a mirror that had a face and made me panic and try running away. Again. But the man who I've decided I'm going to Crow-Man, grabbed me and held me in front of the mirror.

"Now, now my dear, there's no need to struggle, we just need to sort you into which dorm best fits you." He said with a smile, but I hated his smile, I hated how fake it was.

"N-no! Let me go!" I screamed before biting his arm and running out of the mirrors line of sight and looked around before freezing completely realizing there were no girls. Only boys and while I may look like a girl due to my baggy hoodie and sweatpants making it harder to tell. I knew I didn't belong here.

Before I could react the Crow-Man grabbed me again and held me in front of the mirror again with an annoyed smile now.

"My dear, refrain from biting me again and just stay put." He warned and this time I listened because the tone in his voice told me he was serious.

After a few seconds of me standing in front of the mirror the face spoke up. "How old are you and what is your name?" it asked.

"...October... October Norris. I don't wish to tell you how old I am..." I quietly mumbled while looking down, the mirror seemed surprised by my high pitched voice but didn't question it.
