The Wayne Manor driveway was a peaceful stretch of cobblestone... until the unmistakable hum of a small motor shattered the quiet.

Jason had barely stepped out of his car when a red-and-black toy vehicle sped past him. Behind the wheel, Damian sat with a determined expression, gripping the steering wheel of his mini Batmobile.

"Is that—?" Jason started, looking back at Bruce, who stood on the front steps.

"His favorite toy," Bruce replied, deadpan.

Jason watched as Damian performed an overly dramatic turn and skidded to a stop right in front of him. "Out of my way, Todd," Damian said, peering up at Jason with a practiced glare.

Jason smirked, crouching to Damian's level. "Nice ride, kid. Who taught you to drive?"

"I taught myself," Damian said proudly.

"Figures," Jason muttered, standing. "Looks like Bruce got you started early."

Damian adjusted Batty, who was buckled in the passenger seat. "Batty says I'm an excellent driver."

Jason chuckled. "Well, Batty's not wrong. You wanna race?"

Damian's eyes lit up, though he quickly masked it with his usual seriousness. "Do you have a car that can match this one?"

Jason tapped his chin theatrically. "Guess we'll find out."

Moments later, Jason had commandeered one of Tim's abandoned scooters, and the race was on. As Bruce watched from the porch, Damian and Jason zipped around the driveway, Damian taking every opportunity to swerve in front of Jason.

When Damian ultimately crossed the finish line—a chalk line he'd insisted Alfred draw for him—he thrust his hands in the air. "Victory is mine!"

Jason threw up his hands. "Alright, alright, you win. But don't get cocky, kid."

Damian smirked as he unbuckled Batty. "Skill is not cockiness, Todd."

Bruce crossed his arms, watching them with an amused expression. "Jason, you just gave him another reason to gloat for weeks."

Jason shrugged, ruffling Damian's hair before he could dodge. "Kid's gotta have his moments, right?"

Damian, for once, didn't complain. He simply climbed back into his car, revved the motor, and called over his shoulder, "Next time, Todd, don't embarrass yourself so badly."

Jason laughed. "Oh, it's on, Mini-Bat."
