"Hey it's me from the concert :)" too late for that.
"Yo what's up" too casual
"What was that dinner you were talking about earlier?" Ew I sounded like all I wanted was the food.
How was I supposed to text this perfect stranger? It was almost 5pm, that man's deadline to be his da- plus one to his work dinner.
The girl with the rat skull necklace still hadn't found out about this, she was still at work. Oh no, how was I supposed to get this past her? I'm pretty sure she was still mad at me..! She'd definitely move out and never speak to me again if she realized I was breaking her trust.
That was quite a way to lose a best friend, but that wasn't what I was focusing on right now.
...
"What's the dress code?" it was good enough, right?I hit send.

"He respond quick," was all I could think before I got a text back.
"Business casual, meet me at your work around 5:45, look forward to seeing you ;)"
I toss my phone aside and kick my legs, squealing and hiding my face in a nearby pillow. I rush to my room to grab some clothes, what was I to wear? I didn't have a lot of "business casual" clothing...
I eventually decided on a plain black skirt/pants, some black boots, a cutesy top, a belt, and jewelry. I do some simple makeup and fix my hair before I felt like I was trying too hard. (optional, all of this is optional, you can pick whatever you wanna wear.)
By the time I put on some fragrance and grabbed a coat it was nearing 5:30, I didn't want to be late. I grabbed my wallet and busted through the door, skipped down the hallway, and strutted through the streets to my date with destiny.
It wasn't a date, but this was definitely meant to be, meant to happen.
I got to the coffee shop me and the man who held me happened to re-meet earlier a few minutes early. I sat on a bench outside and looked around. The sun was setting and the world started to settle down for the night, a smiled and leaned against the wall behind me.
5 minutes passed.
Then 10.
Then 15- Where is this guy? That's not very professional of him to show up so late. My leg started to bounce up and down as I started to try to pick him out of the crowd, which one might assume since this man was so tall I'm that it'd be easy to, but nobody looked to be anything above 6 foot. I sigh, feeling stood up.
His POV;
I had tried to get their attention multiple times from my car, pull conveniently a few feet off to the left from them, but they seemed entranced in the crowd. Ultimately I got up and brisket past them to be in their line of view.Quickly their glazed over gaze brightened, as did their entire face as they got up to greet me.
"Hey, I thought you set me up!" Their face still had a huge grin on it, so I knew she wasn't fully upset.
"No! Never! I was parked over here!" I exclaimed, gently using their shoulder to turn them to face my car.
"Oh."
"Yup."
"Well, should we get going then? We're gonna drive late already but... better earlier than later." They questioned.
