Redemption

Monroe is seen splashing water on her face in the bathroom

Henry notices
"There is something you ain't telling us?"

Monroe wipes her face with a rag
"why the fuck do you care?"

Henry leans against the doorway, arms crossed. "Because we're a team, Monroe. We can't afford to have secrets. What's going on? You've been acting off since we got that USB."

Monroe throws the rag on the sink
"It's nothing, I repeat nothing"
She turns to leave

Henry
"Who's Laura?"

She stops

Monroe clenches her fists, her body tensing at Henry's question. She doesn't turn around, but her voice drips with anger and sadness.
"Drop it, Henry. You don't want to know. Trust me."

Henry
"It seems like you don't want people to know"

Monroe
"No shit Sherlock"

Henry steps closer, his voice gentle yet persistent. "Monroe, you're obviously hurting. You can't carry this burden alone."

Liam overhears the conversation and comes to defend Monroe
"you bothering her again?"

Henry glares at Liam, clearly frustrated. "I'm not bothering her. I'm trying to understand what's going on with her because it's affecting our team."

Liam crosses his arms, sizing up Henry. "Maybe she just doesn't want to share her business with you. Ever think about that?"

Henry
"Who do you think you are?"

Liam answers sarcastically
"Liam Holmes nice to meet you, I've been with this crew since the beginning and you are?"

Henry clenches his jaw, his voice tinged with annoyance. "I'm Henry. And I don't appreciate your tone, Liam."

Liam scoffs, not backing down. "Well, Henry, truth is If it were up to me i'd kill Monroe especially after what she's done."

Monroe
"He's right I don't deserve kindness with what I've done in the past, I'm a heartless murderer"

Henry's expression softens, the anger fading from his voice. "Monroe, I can't deny that you have a difficult past, and you've done things that I might not condone. But people can change, and I believe you have."

Henry steps closer, placing a hand on her shoulder. "We all have demons, Monroe. Don't let them define who you are now."

Monroe Shouts
"You don't get it! She's dead because of me!"

Henry
"What are you talking about?"

Monroe's voice echoes with pain and guilt. "I did something terrible, Henry. Something I can never take back. It cost me everything."

It's June 1st
A flashback unfolds, revealing Monroe as a younger, more innocent version of herself. She sits alone on a swing set, her expression filled with sadness and longing

The scene shifts, and Monroe catches sight of a Young Kayden, looking equally young and carefree, sitting next to a girl around his age. Their playful interaction, holding hands and leaning on each other, paints a picture of happiness and closeness.

This girls name is presumably Laura
Young Monroe watches the two of them with curiosity and a touch of envy. She can't deny the allure of Kayden, and a part of her desires that attention for herself, longing to be by his side

Suddenly Young Liam comes over
"Kayden, Delta needs us back at home"
Laura Kisses Kayden goodbye
Young Kayden
"Ew!"
Laura giggles
Young Kayden playfully pretends to be grossed out by Laura's kiss, but there's a hint of a smile betraying his true feelings. It's a moment of youthful innocence and blossoming emotions.

As Liam and Kayden leave the Park
Monroe sets her sights on Laura

Young Monroe, consumed with a mix of jealousy and anger, approaches Laura with a knife out, the day that will forever change their lives forever. As the sun rises the next day, Laura was presumed dead or missing by the  local police, leaving a void in the hearts of those who knew her.
The weight of her actions starts to bear down on a guilt-ridden young Monroe. The memories of this fateful moment will haunt her for years, shaping her into the person she becomes as an adult.

Present day
Liam sighs
"Maybe if I hadn't made Kayden leave, she'd still be alive

Henry begins stepping away
"You killed a young, sweet and innocent girl over jealousy?"

Monroe nods solemnly, her eyes filled with remorse. "I let my emotions get the better of me... It was a horrible mistake."

Henry
"No wonder Kayden hates you"

Monroe
"He doesn't know it was me, he assumed she was kidnapped or something"

Henry can't help but shake his head in disbelief. "You're saying he doesn't know? All this time, you've kept it a secret?"

Monroe
"If I told him he'd kill me!"

Henry
"I'm tempted to kill you myself, I've killed people before I'll confess, but an innocent girl, who was only, what like 15, 16 years old?"

Monroe's voice quivers with guilt and regret. "I know... I didn't mean for it to happen. I was consumed by jealousy, and I lost control. It haunts me every day."

Henry leaves the room disgusted
Monroe speaks to Liam
"What am I supposed to do now?"
Liam
"He's a nosy bastard but keep it to yourself and hope he does the same"

Monroe sighs, still feeling remorseful. "I just hope he doesn't use it against me, or worse, tell Kayden."
