Love Her, Not Me

Ray and Matthew meet in their first year of high school and quickly become inseparable best friends. Secretly, Ray has feelings for Matthew and confesses three times during their friendship, but Matthew rejects him each time, not wanting to lose their bond. Despite his heartbreak, Ray remains friends with Matthew but begins to distance himself over time.

In their second year, Claire, a girl obsessed with Matthew, starts monopolizing his time, leaving Ray feeling like a third wheel. Ray copes by spending time alone, often playing piano in an old music room. Meanwhile, two new students, Jarren and Vivian, transfer to their school. Jarren befriends Ray, and Vivian falls for him at first sight, helping Ray move on from his feelings for Matthew.

By their third year, Ray has grown close to Jarren and Vivian, leaving Matthew feeling ignored and questioning his own feelings. Matthew eventually realizes he loves Ray but struggles to express it. Years later, in college, Ray and Matthew reconnected. Ray has grown confident and is still friends with Jarren and Vivian, while Matthew's feelings for Ray deepen. Matthew finally confesses in their third year of college, and Ray accepts.

The story concludes with Ray and Matthew happily married, living a fulfilling life with their supportive family, including Ray's brother Skyler, Skyler's wife Avilian, and their daughter, Antoinette.
