It was the next day and I couldn't get him out of my head, I didn't even sleep last night just thinking about his proposal. I looked at the business card he gave me and thought about what he said last night.

He leaned down to my eye level and said "That's one heck of a name Firefly." Armin brought his mouth near my ear, whispered as I feel the hairs on my neck stand up, "If you really want to get out of the cafe and make better money, here is my business card," He slides a card into my back pocket "Think of it as a favor for today, plus, I need a secretary to help me out. If you want it, give me a call, Firefly."

I shivered at the thought of it. He was way too close for comfort, I mean, what was he thinking? Getting all up in my ear, whispering? Yeah, there's no way I am accepting his proposal. I reached my hands out to grab the business card, rereading it again, 'Zae Enterprise of Cars and Motorcycles', glancing down at the phone number. Thinking about it again, wondering if it was a good idea. If I take this job, there will be more chances for me to actually make a living. I don't have to worry about doing two jobs in the near future. I can make a savings account...dammit. I picked up my phone and started to dial the phone number. My fingers hovered over the call button, hesitating before hitting it. I pressed the phone against my ear, waiting on old grump to pick up the phone. I sighed, about to hang up when I heard a deep gruff voice on the other end of the phone "Yes, Firefly?"

How did he know it was me? Whatever, sounds grumpy as always. "How did you know it was me?" Armin chuckled, and I just rolled my eyes, wanting an answer. "I knew you were going to call me Firefly." "Can you just call me by my name? I don't even know why you are calling me a bug, it's annoying." I just know this old grump is smirking on the other end of the phone. He doesn't answer immediately, as if he is mocking me and egging me on. "I figured it suits you, you know, your whole persona vibe."

He literally is using my own quote against me. Ugh, I am about to regret this. "Whatever, old grump, I was calling you about the offer. I decided to take it." Armin stays quiet for a minute before saying, "Great, you start tomorrow after school at 6 and won't get off till 8. I'll have the full schedule for your work days with me tomorrow printed out. See you tomorrow Firefly." He hangs up, leaving me confused on the other end. Did I really just get hired like that? Great, now I need to call my manager- huh?

I received a message from my manager, what could he want?

                                                                              Manager

Hello, I am sorry to inform you,

but I have decided to replace you with

a new worker. You have been great with

helping out, but you aren't great

with customers so I had to make

a decision. Please come in to return

any of out items and I will give out

your final paycheck. Have a good day.

What did I just read... I am mind blown away, did I just get fired? Well, easier for me I guess, this cafe will not be missed. I messaged him a quick okay before getting shoes on, leaving to return everything.

After a few minutes of driving back to the cafe, I parked the car and grabbed the bag of items that needed to be returned. I reached my hand out and opened up the doors to the cafe. I walked into my manager's office, not even bothering to knock. "Here is my stuff, well, your stuff." I dropped it onto his desk, hearing him sigh.
