Escapade

Tintin is walking in a peaceful park with her boyfriend Jeremy. Both were holding hands as they enjoyed the breeze passing by their hair.

Jeremy stopped and walked in front of Tintin before saying, "Babe, can we talk for a moment?"

Tintin tilted her head and replied, "Sure, dear. What is it?"

Jeremy held both of Tintin's hands and smiled at her. "Christine..." He called her with her real name.

"Geez, babe, just Tintin." She said with a soft giggle.

Jeremy chuckled and kissed both of Tintin's hands, before speaking, "It's been five years, since we've been together, right?"

"Uhuh." Tintin nodded.

"Well, I've been thinking..." Jeremy slowly pulled out a small box from his pocket and kneeled down before the woman.

Tintin's eyes went wide with glee and love, as her cheeks went red. She giggled in excitement, already knowing what her man is about to ask.

"Christine Marie Mijikai, will you marry me?" Jeremy asked with a blush slowly forming on his cheeks. He opened the box, which shows a golden ring in it.

Tintin's eyes started to be filled with glee, then she say, "Yes! Yes!"

Jeremy smiled brightly as she heard Tintin's joyful answer, and he became joyful as well. He was about to place the ring on to Tintin's finger, but some groaning interrupted them both.

Jeremy looked at the source of the groaning, and so as Tintin, and they saw a man walking in a shambling mannertowards them and was groaning. His eyes looked lifeless and his lips were salivating. Jeremy thought the man was homeless and he was there to ask them for a penny or something to eat, perhaps famished.

As soon as the man arrived in front of them, Jeremy says, "Maybe he needs some penny."

Tintin however, felt something odd about this man, the way his eyes were full white and his constant drooling, made her feel unease. Jeremy pulled some money from his pocket and hand it over to the man, but as he hold out his hand, the man suddenly bite it, causing Jeremy to scream, as the man's teeth burrowed deep into his palm.

Tintin's eyes went wide as she tries to help her boyfriend, "Jeremy!!"

But, the man tackled Jeremy and began to gnaw on his face. Jeremy started screaming so loud, as he dropped the box of ring on the ground beside him while being eaten alive.

Tintin could only watch and scream as her boyfriend screamed, "NOOOOOOO! JEREMY!!"

Tintin suddenly opened her eyes and sat up from Nyx's stomach, and began to scream, "JEREMY!!"

She panted and looks around, as the other survivors got startled by her scream. She realized that she's in the attic of the store, it was all a dream...or is it? They all looked at her in concern.

"Are you alright?" Nyx asked beside her.

"J-just some old memories, perhaps driven back by my dreams." Tintin replied.

Nyx looks at the troubled woman, as she placed a hand on Tintin's back and gently rubbed it to comfort her. Bea and Cyra looked at each others, already knowing what tragic memory is it that Tintin had remembered.

"Who's Jeremy?" Nyx asked.

Tintin looks away and sighed, before explaining who Jeremy was, "Jeremy is my boyfriend... Well, we're almost engaged, but he was killed...by a Necro.. I-I can't even do anything to help him."

Tintin is about to break in tears, Nyx rubbed her shoulder and said, "Sorry about Jeremy..."

"D-don't apologize... You didn't do anything wrong..." Tintin replied and smiled a bit, "So, what happened?"
