Six months.

That's how long it had been since Marlowe had last seen Percy. She was practically going insane at Camp Half-Blood, waiting for the moment where Annabeth and Thalia would sweep her off her feet and the trio would make their way into the city.

But before that happens, let's recap.

Right after Percy and Marlowe confessed their feelings for each other, they sat on the beach and talked about the most random things they could think of. Even though they now had a label on their relationship, that didn't mean things were going to change. They were still both dumb kids who want to have a fun life.

The two spent every second of every day with each other, soaking up the sun. They tried to hide it from their friends, but it wasn't long before they found out.

"You two are dating?!" Annabeth whisper-shouted, tugging Marlowe into the bathroom of the Athena cabin so they could talk in private.

Marlowe bounced on her heels, a giddy expression written all over her face. "Yeah! Isn't it great?" she asked with a giggle.

Annabeth leaned against the sink, her hands running over her face. "No, it is not great," she replied with an exasperated sigh. "You two are going to destroy the world."

"Yeah, maybe, but we could also be the ones to save it, so boom! Think about that!" Marlowe countered. She knew she should have been a little more careful with the volume of her voice, but she was on such a high, she couldn't find it in herself to care.

Annabeth was quick to cover the girl's mouth, shushing her. She glanced at the bathroom door, waiting silently to see if one of her siblings were going to say something. Thankfully, they didn't.

When she was sure they were in the clear, the daughter of Athena removed her hand from Marlowe's mouth and backed away.

"You guys can't tell anyone. You know that, right?" Annabeth asked, her tone serious.

"Oh, c'mon, not even Will? I tell him everything!" Marlowe whined. She stepped back and allowed her body to fall against the door, but quickly stood back up when it made a loud banging noise. She winced, shooting Annabeth a nervous glance. "Sorry."

Annabeth only glared back. "No, you cannot tell Will. If you know that boy like I do, which I'm sure you do, you know that he will run and tell every camper in his sight. He can't keep a secret to save his life," she said after a moment.

Marlowe nodded, looking down and frowning slightly. She was really looking forward to telling him all about her confession, but she also understood where Annabeth was coming from.

This was her first relationship. She can't mess it up so early on.

"Okay, fine," she said, jumping up on top of the sink and swinging her legs back and forth, "but this means that I have to talk to you whenever there's a problem. Which means that I could show up at one in the morning and you need to be ready to help me through my crazy thoughts, and—"
